Hi marmin, Does your son know how to speak Mandarin? If yes, perhaps it's easier. U may try some words that he understands, eg, "I like mummy" (wo xi huan ma ma). One card with one character and flash it fast. That's how I teach my students and kids. It's effective and kids enjoy it.
