JTR: getting tired of helper's attitude

LOL. That's really the crappy part of hiring a maid I guess!

JTR: getting tired of helper's attitude

True that. I'm just mindful of the horror stories I've read about maids kicking up a big big fuss on the way to the airport if they even make it onto the taxi.

All the best bro. Hope you do the right thing. Life is short so do what you can so you can sleep easy at night.

    That wretched MIL

Best to send your child away to infantcare/playgroup and not rely on the maid to take care of your child. I’m glad that you have at least gotten the hard part out of the way – having MIL stay away, especially since it is such a big source of frustration for you.

JTR: getting tired of helper's attitude

Sounds like you may want to consider working out with the agency how to send her back – assuming the agency is not communicating with the maid on the backend! I would think the agency would be most happy to arrange for a subsequent employer since they get to earn another round of fees. There is...

    Flirting msg

IMO no normal colleagues would say such things to each other, let alone reciprocate if there is really nothing else going on. Best to continue talking about it with him otherwise what you keep within you may fester into something much worse in the future.

    Pratical or Love?

Dude the alarm bells should be going through your head right now. You really need to consider whether she is the right one for you, or even the right person to be the mother to your child.

    Boon Keng Mommy's Club

Kinda surprised to read about Caelum Junior's lapses. Any one else who has differing views? I'm considering my options as we may be moving in to McNair Road next June. I saw that most walkable options seem to be full already so I have to look a bit further I guess..

Husband shove me in the bed

Be very clear where the line should be drawn so that he is no doubt in the future when he even ponders about using force.

Gotta let time heal the wounds if you choose to forgive him. It wont be an easy process.. Only you will know how truthful and sincere he is or whether he is just a really good actor.

How to fatten an 8 month baby?

@Shfqh - please keep us posted on her progress. Good to visit a PD just to clear things up in case there's something more serious that the lack of weight is indicating.

To engage Confinement Nanny from agency or relative during confinement period?

+1 for what shoppixe said. There will be bound to be differences in beliefs between mom and the older generation. They will naturally revert to what they tried and tested or heard from everyone during their time.

    Maid salary?

@cheekybebe - Ultimately it depends on your own gut. That is the best gauge on whether you should give in to her. Looking at the direction in which your comments on your maid is headed, I am guessing you did not even want to increase her salary to begin with. Lol..

I dislike my twin2 ..is it post natal depression?

Agreed. @TS - do think about taking a break. You are not in this whole thing alone. Try to tap into your support group, be it fellow moms, family, relatives or friends. You would be surprised at how happy people are willing to help!

Where to buy affordable newborn clothes

I guess you can start off with Kiddy Palace? There are the real plain rompers and tshirts which cost about $4-6 each. Once you are more comfortable with the sizing, you can consider buying them off Taobao, assuming you can read Chinese characters easily.
