Hello fellow mummies,

Any of you encounter pile near rectum area during pregnancy period? Any advice?

I'm currently in my 2nd trimester and one day i discovered this bump near my rectum. Still have two more weeks before my next gynae appointment.

Any remedy to make it go away? Will it affect giving birth subsequently? Please kindly share with me your experience.

Thanks alot! Have a great day.!

hi, I think it's better for you to get your piles treated right away, due to your pregnancy. I recommend visiting Dr. Dennis Koh at Colorectal Practice. He successfully treated my piles in the past, and I can attest to his surgical skill and precision throughout my treatment.

I just saw this post while scrolling and I wanted to share my experience in case it helps another mummy. I had this during my third trimester. I noticed a small lump, and it would hurt after bowel movements. There was also some itching which made it quite uncomfortable.
I saw Dr Chew Min Hoe, a colon doctor in Singapore, and he confirmed it was external piles caused by the pressure from pregnancy. He explained that it is quite common and advised me on simple ways to manage the discomfort. It slowly improved after that.
