I dont really know where to park my concerns. I hope to receive some advice.
I did a sexual health check and my first ever pap smear in July 2018. All the results came back negative. Only my Pap smear came back abnormal. So they scheduled a follow up at KKH Specialist for a colposcopy. The doctor seeing me said that she visually did not see a problem but she was going to do a biopsy to be absolutely certain. I am fairly certain that she biopsied 3 areas but only 2 specimen reached the lab for a pathology report. They also took 3 photos of the area but there were only 2 photos on my report.
When I questioned this, they said they will refund for the photo. But there were other instances where I was almost wrongly charged because I am Indian and the patient after me was also Indian. Means like that a lot of lapses in procedure can occur also. Like u label my specimen wrongly etc. Of course I am exaggerating but I don't really trust them anymore. I have written an email to them but have no response form them yet. What do I do?
I did sign a waiver that it was ok to use my results for the purpose of research but I was assured that they wouldn't take extra parts from me, just whatever was medically necessary for the diagnosis of my own case. I am very very upset.
They are also not releasing the names of the doctors who I met for the past few visits. I feel that the system needs to be more transparent.
The diagnosis of my cervix samples came back with Cin2 with a small amount of Cin3. I am not keen to do the surgery. Anyone who managed to cure this with alternative means?
