Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir: Newly-Revamped with Even More Fun for Kids

Forest Adventure, Singapore’s first and only treetop course, marks its 10th anniversary with a brand-new course for the ultimate outdoor adventure!

Have your kids been missing out on some outdoor fun? Fret not, Forest Adventure is back at Bedok Reservoir Park with an impressive new trail. Following a six-month overhaul, Singapore’s first and only treetop course is back and 40 per cent larger than before! With 69 crossings and six zip lines, it’s time to gear Junior − and yourself − up for the ultimate adventure!

Kids Choose their Own Adventures

So what’s new? First of all, the redesign creates a more fulfilling experience for children. Founder of Forest Adventure, Stephanie Besse, tells us The Kids Course now has two difficulty levels – and kids themselves get to decide which they prefer. Allowing the kiddos to make their own choices helps to empower them and boost their sense of pride. In addition, children go through a 15-minute briefing before embarking on their journey. This helps to prepare them mentally and emotionally to take on the challenge.

Stephanie realised early on that there weren’t enough outdoor activities for children in Singapore. In creating Forest Adventure, she sought to “create something quite unique that will offer anyone from five years and up a meaningful outdoor experience”. And create a meaningful experience she did. Don’t worry if your kids can’t take on too much height yet. The crossings span across four different heights in three age-appropriate courses for children of all ages. Your little adventurers will love the freedom of monkeying about up among the trees. Don’t worry! They’ll be tethered to a safety harness through it all so you can sit back and relax, mum. Let them embark on their own journey through the foliage and see them emerge bravely and more confident on the other side! Here’s what they can go through.

The Kids Course

The Kids Course features 22 obstacles, including two zip lines – 3.3m and 3.6m off the ground respectively. The minimum height required for this course is 1.1m, and children below seven must be accompanied by an adult. Each adult can accompany up to three kids.

The Junior Course

The Junior Course ups the ante with 26 obstacles, including two zip lines, one which zips above water! The course is 6.3m off the ground, with the minimum height requirement at 1.4m. Just like with The Kids Course, adults are to accompany children below 10 years.

The Grand Course

The largest of all the courses – The Grand Course – boasts 44 different obstacles. With three zip lines above water, this course isn’t for the faint of heart! The course extends 6.3m and 9.3m above the ground, with the minimum height requirement of 1.5m.

Price $50 per person ($46 for tertiary students; $39 on Tuesdays except for Public Hols) or $190 for 4 pax in a single transaction

The Big Zip

For an even greater thrill to top it all off, try out The Big Zip. This zip line is 300m long, starting at a whopping height of 14m. It’s sure to get your heart racing! The minimum height requirement for this exhilarating experience is 1.4m.
