The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, Singapore’s Biggest-Ever Carnival, has Supersized Fun for All in the Family!
The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is set to be Singapore’s largest ever carnival. Find out all you need to know about the supersized family fun you can expect here!
Are you ready for the most heart-stopping thrills and spills on the bay? From 15 December 2017 to 1 April 2018, head down to the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival at the Promontory for supersized family fun. With over 40 rides and games set across 25,000 square metres (that’s almost the size of 3.5 football fields!) this is set to be Singapore’s largest-ever carnival. Whether you’re an ardent lover of thrill rides and carnival games, a dedicated follower of delicious cuisine, looking for installations as backdrops for that next IG-worthy shot, or one who enjoys watching performances, there’s definitely something here to satisfy everyone!

1. Go on Rides that are in Singapore for the very first time
Many of the rides have been brought into Singapore from various European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy, for the very first time. These include:
The Star Flyer: A tower ride that lets you take in an uninhibited 360˚ view of the Singapore skyline from a 35-metres height while experiencing the sensation of flying
The Booster Maxx: An ultimate thrill ride which stands at a whopping 55 metres above ground rotating at a speed that can reach 96km/hour under eight seconds. This will challenge even the bravest of us all!
The Log Flume: (see picture below) Great for families, with its gentle turns before heading down to a big splash at the end!
The Das Fun Schiff pirate ship: (see picture above) This will take riders on a voyage as the vessel soars high above while swinging back and forth.
The Apple Coaster: Little ones can buckle up and get their first taste of a rollercoaster ride on this.
2. Win 1.2 million Cute Plushies at over 30 Carnival Game Stalls
No carnival would be complete without skill games coupled with attractive plush toys you can win. The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival will boast Singapore’s largest-ever collection of more than 30 carnival games catering to adults and children of all ages. In addition to that, there are over a million licensed plush toys up for grabs, including kid favourites from Marvel and Pixar!
3. Watch different Musical Performances every month
Feast your eyes and ears on youth bands and DJ performances, ventriloquism acts and carolling groups. There’ll also be a strong local indie flavour as homegrown musicians such as pop punk artiste Falling Feathers, petite powerhouse Kexin Tay, hip-hop rapper TheLionCityBoy, and rising star Jasmine Sokko rock your evenings with blistering sets and varied repertoire.
4. Return again and again for Themed Monthly Celebrations
Throughout the four months of the carnival, you’ll get to see a special theme each month that the whole family can enjoy. In December, the focus os on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Stick to those resolutions with Fitness by the Bay and Art Week in January. In February, celebrate Valentine’s Day and the Lunar New Year as a family, then make one last trip during the March holidays as iLight Marina Bay returns for more sparkling fun as the sun goes down.

5. Feast on your Favourite Fairground Food
Don’t forget one of the most important aspects of a carnival – food! Fairground favourites like curly fries, churros, popcorn and candy floss will be on sale. As kids dig into the guilty snacks, parents can opt for Michelin-starred offerings or an array of Japanese treats. There’ll even be local highlights such as Cendol Soft Serve and Lemongrass Chicken Rice Bowls. Choose from more than 20 curated vendors each week to satisfy those hunger pangs! Did we also mention that dishes start as low as $4?
It’s set to be a fun-filled night of rides, games, performances, and delicious food with the whole family so don’t miss out on the biggest carnival of the year. The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is where it’s at this holiday season and we’ll definitely be there!
