Amazon Prime Now -featured

In case you haven’t heard, the American online shopping giant has launched Amazon Prime Now on our sunny shores, boasting many items sold cheaper than elsewhere and delivered within two hours. How perfect, especially for new mums who’re just too exhausted to leave the house to buy groceries!

Online shopping is second nature to many of us these days, and thankfully, busy families now have one more option to turn to on those impossible days. You know, the days when you really don’t have time to pick up the milk and eggs for tomorrow’s breakfast. Or the diapers you forgot to stock up on. And when Junior’s birthday party begins in three hours and you’ve just realised that you forgot to prepare any goodie bags!

Amazon Prime Now to the Rescue

With Amazon Prime Now offering islandwide (including Sentosa) delivery-on-demand, your worries are over. Spend at least $40 and enjoy free two-hour delivery service! If your order is below $40, the delivery fee is just $5.99. If you’re in a rush, there’s also a one-hour delivery option (selected postal codes) for just $9.99. Delivery hours are from 10am to 10pm, seven days a week.

Yes, we too heard that there were teething problems when it came to fulfilling these promises on the first couple of days since they launched on 26 July. It looks like Singaporeans were indeed extremely excited to jump on the Amazon Prime Now bandwagon! In fact, to ensure that they make all deliveries promptly, Amazon has even engaged the services of Comfort cabbies. Kudos!

What’s in Our Shopping Cart

Amazon Prime Now -departments

While the range of products isn’t as huge as it is for the US market, it’s hardly slim pickings. You can even find car seats and strollers in the Baby department! Besides, since we currently don’t need to pay for an Amazon Prime membership to try the Prime Now service (yes, it’s on a limited-time basis, until further notice, sadly), why not take full advantage?

We went ‘shopping’ around and put together a list for busy mums. If you’re buying these items, it’d be a good idea to get them from Amazon Prime Now because they’re cheaper than we’ve found elsewhere. Read on to see what we mean…
