LEGO Star Wars Days returns to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort from 28 April to 31 May 2017 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. We’ve got the deets on all the galactic activities lined up for families.

We dropped by the LEGO Singapore office yesterday for a sneak peek at the awesome activities lined up to mark the 40th anniversary of Star Wars at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. This year’s LEGO Star Wars Days celebration will be the largest in Asia – we are super psyched! True blue Star Wars fans, get ready to be transported to a galaxy far, far away with an array of activities that will allow you to truly immerse in the magic beyond the big screen.
From an Imperial March featuring over a hundred costumed characters to the only LEGO Star Wars MINILAND Model Display in Asia, the activities awaiting you at this massive celebration are truly out of this world. We’re letting you in on what you and the kiddos can expect when you visit LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort from 28 April to 31 May 2017. Scroll on to see what the 10 force-wielding activities are. 1. Relive The Epic Battles Through LEGO Star Wars MINILAND ‘Live’
The largest LEGO Star Wars MINILAND Model Display at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is the only one of its kind in Asia. Get this – it features over a whopping 1.5 million LEGO bricks! The exhibition comprises seven rooms which each depict scenes from every Star Wars film, in chronological order. As part of LEGO Star Wars ‘Live’, you can look forward to a memorable storytelling experience by Model Citizens who will be decked out in authentic Star Wars costumes!
2. Be Part of The Largest Imperial March in Asia
Just imagine over a hundred Star Wars characters marching down the streets of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. Quite a sight to behold, yes? Wouldn’t it be extra special if you could be a part of it? Well, here’s your chance. The Imperial March taking place on 13 & 14 May 2017 will see the most devout fans of the Star Wars legacy setting up an intense clash between the Dark and Light sides. Be sure to seize the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in this highly Instagram-worthy moment!
3. Snap a Picture with The Dancing Stormtroopers
There’ll most definitely be no shortage of photo ops at LEGO Star Wars Days at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. Iconic Star Wars characters such as Darth Vader, Princess Leia and the Stormtroopers will be making special appearances to mingle with fans at the resort starting from 29 April 2017 and continuing on subsequent weekends. Oh, and these Stormtroopers are no ordinary ones – they dance! So be sure to come on down in your dancing shoes to bust a move or two.
4. Pay Tribute to The Toughest Princess in a Galaxy Far, Far Away
American actress Carrie Fisher, who passed away in December last year, was best known for playing the role of Princess Leia in the Star Wars film series. In order to honour her, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will be hosting a commemorative session. Look out for more details on the resort’s website!
5. Put Your Brains to The Test at The Star Wars Trivia Hunt
How much of an ardent Star Wars fan are you really? It’s time to prove your knowledge of everything related to the galaxy far, far away! Go on an epic Star Wars scavenger hunt within the resort and try your hand at completing a special themed quiz.
6. Keep Your Eyes Peeled for The Stormtroopers
During the span of the LEGO Star Wars Days celebration at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, the park’s Model Citizens can be sighted at various locations. Take a good look at their vests to see if you can spot a Stormtrooper mini figure. If you do, head to the ticketing counter to redeem yourself a mystery prize – yay!
7. Fulfill Your Galactic Dreams at The Jedi Academy
It surely must be every true blue Star Wars fan’s dream to become a Jedi. Make those dreams come true at the Jedi Academy! Let the Master Jedis train you to master the force. Young Padawans who can prove their mettle will be presented with a LEGOLAND Jedi Academy Certificate. You’ll want to show it off to all your friends!
8. Be a Star Wars Jetsetter with The LEGOLAND Star Wars Passport
Kids who visit LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort during the LEGO Star Wars Days celebration can look forward to receiving a Star Wars Passport. Take part in activities such as the Giant R2D2 Build, Star Wars World Build, Trivia Hunt, and Speed Building competition to accumulate stamps. Little Padawans who collect all the stamps will stand a chance to redeem a special commemorative brick awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis!
9. Lend Your Hands to Build a LEGO Star Wars Mural
A massive LEGO Star Wars mural lies in the heart of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and help is needed from the most artistic of visitors to complete it! You’ll have to be a checked-in guest at the resort to lend a helping hand though.
10. Sit Back and Enjoy a Screening of The Star Wars Saga
If you’re the type of Star Wars fan who could watch the films over and over again, this one’s for you then. LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will be screening the first two episodes of the epic Star Wars saga every night from 9.30pm onwards. Sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy!
