She said it is probably 6 weeks. I took a urine test so she said cfm pregnant. But still too early to see. And I refused to do vaginal scan. Now it's another 2 weeks of waiting! Sigh. Today's visit is $250ish before GST. She didnt tell me about her charges too. It was a very chop chop visit. Duno is she didnt want to say much or what...

Don't scare urself ...it's too early to see the foetus..now it's only embryo and the sac...jus don't worry and eat and rest well.

Okay jus relax and continue to eat well, ur mood will affect ur bb too so cnt be too negative. Maybe she is busy, Isit crowded here? Oh ic, Ur $250 got include any supplements fm the clinic?

May I know why you refuse vaginal scan?
It's common to do vaginal scan at early pregnancy.

Female gynae charges tend to be more expensive de. But my scan at kkh plus consultation only $170+

Im under dr thh n yes a private patient. His consultations fee is $100. Eh depends on what other test u need to do. But if just scan n routine test i think the most is $200.

It is not very crowded. But constant flow of people. I didnt have to wait very long too. Yup. It includes folic acid and duphaston. This is only my first visit so I can comment much on Dr Tan. Just that I wish she could give me more assurance. Let's see how the second visit goes!

My cough took more than 2 weeks to recover.

I didn't know about the 'lower immunity' until you mention it. No wonder it's taking such a toil on my body.
I have been like taking MC for 1to 2 days for the past 3 weeks, I can see the unhappy expression from my boss. Wish I could explain but the superstition is stopping me from doing so at this moment.

I'm eating those medicine but unfortunately, the medicines i took so far doesn't seem to work and now i'm kind of at wits end. Tomorrow I'm actually intending to visit a ENT specialist. My sinus have been giving me problems which i'm guessing is cause my jaw pain, my persistent headache and blocked nose.

U may feel nausea later (may or may not)

I urine frequently whole day =/

These 2 days got white non smell discharge too

I totally understand how you feel.. I guess my boss kind of know with all the mc from gynae clinic..
I think most importantly is ample of rest and sleep.. speedy recovery to you!

Dr Tan is quite ok. Very cheerful. But I feel that she didnt give enough information esp for first time parents. She didn't asked me about my symptons. She only told me what not to eat after I asked her. Would defintely prefer her to be more proactive in giving advice.

Based on the size of the sac, i am 6 weeks 3 days. I read that some people can hear hb in week 6. But for me, cant even see the baby. I am kinda sad and worried. Been googling alot. Not sure if this is a gd sign.

yup, my 6 wks is via V scan then can c baby. tummy scan can't see. so don't scare urself. cos after tummy scan the person ask if ok for v scan. it was only V scan then i see my bb hb.

Thanks for the assurance! I had insomia the whole of last night. Couldn't sleep and kept thinking if everything is ok. The 2 weeks wait is killing me...

aiyo! don't stress.... tts normal... my 9wk scan coming next wk, dr nv arrange me to amc meaning he doing self scan. meaning to say 9 wks is tummy scan! hehe

2nd time mummy here. I have a 19 months old boy.. scheduled my gynae appointment this friday. Hope everything turns out fine.

Btw is anyone feeling colding? Weirdly i have been feeling very cold especially in office/aircon. I dont remember feeling such 'cold' last pregnancy. And MS seems to start already...... *feeling nauseous almost whole day* Im like 6weeks 3 days today according to the apps.. :)

Thanks! My friend also just showed me her 5 weeks scan! Looks exactly like mine just slightly smaller! So I am quite comforted now! You should be able to see something next week!! Excited for you!! Btw how do you all keep taking leave to visit the gynae? I think my boss is starting to wonder if I am going for interviews!

yup, i'm having cold preggy haha!! i'm extremely cold till i can wear jacket despite the sun is out

i'm using MCs, my bosses r supportive so i don't hav issues with that. me too! can't wait to see

im feeling nauseous after every meal. :( no wonder mothers are the best people in the world, they make huge sacrifices!! sorry if i sound random, trying to distract myself from the nausea..

Try green apple juice.. it helps a little. Im constantly eating.. sweets, milo, biscuit, sweets even my last pack of gums.. it helps.. and applying medicated oil all day.. otherwise i cant focus in work too.

We already made an appt with our obgyn of choice @ KKH and she's only available on 17th Aug. So up till that date we'll pay as a subsidised patient.

We think that it's ok to go down that route as the checkup will be mainly height/weight check, taking samples etc. We don't see any justifying reason to pay a higher price just for those checks. I hope i'm not wrong but can any other mums who went in as subsidised patients confirm if the ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging procedures are charged at subsidised rates too?

(Couldn't find a Singapore Fatherhood forum, had to camp here and read all these different opinions so I can share it with my wife, she's super tired after work lately, so i do all the reading that i can and share it with her lolol)

hello! how did the checkup went? what did they do & how long was the waiting time? my first appmt will be next Wed morning. :)
 
hmm my gynae visit is pretty much spaced out, 1st appointment at 7+ weeks, 2nd appointment going to be 13+ weeks. is it normal? I forgot, even though this is my second baby haha
the nausea is killing me.. hope it ends soon, have been puking all morning and afternoon, even with a little blood!
 
i took leave instead of mc, don't want my bosses to draw attention yet until after 1st trimester is over. i think once a mth leave is reasonable? haha

where can i get green apple juice? i want to give it a try, the nausea is distracting esp at work. :(
 
7th wk and 13th wk is almost 1.5months apart! if it's me, i will be anxious by the long waiting time maybe cos its my 1st pregnancy lol

ivf route diff, before preggy boss know cos of HL liao. so for me easier

So fast!! Sigh the 2 weeks wait is sucha torture. Really not quite sure if everything is ok. Cos other than sore boobs and feeling really tired, I dont have tt much symptons.

U need to see after ur second appointment hw many weeks are u? If is week 10 they will schedule u to go for oscar/detail test at week 13 then after that is once a mth checkup le
