Merry Christmas to your family too.

See you on January 4th at JCC

hi bellgal,
does your boy pee so many times in the daytime too? 60 times is really a lot.

My girl is toilet-trained in the daytime but she's still on diapers in the night. I think probably at most 3 times at night only.. there were 1-2 occasions when she didn't take the last milk feed and she managed to stay dry till morning.

Trying my luck to see if there's any response...

Any kid here bang or hits his own head when angry? Owen hits his own head with both hands when frustrated n is getting worse. Really worrying esp now his strength is big.

Bbroom: No he doesn't pee so much in the daytime...I'm thinking he might be just finding some excuse to get out of bed...

My boy is still not toilet-trained both day and night yet. And he has to has his last feed before he goes to bed, otherwise, he will not want to sleep!

OwenPie, my boy does the same when he's angry/upset. He doesn't hit with his own hand. Rather, he will bang against the chair behind him.

Bellgal,
Since it's not due to toilet training stress,
I am guessing it could be because he's not ready to sleep so early thus coming up with the excuses to get out of bed.

Try to distract him with some bedtime stories or sing some songs with him..see if it helps him to settle down to sleep.

OwenPie, see if you can get Owen to tell you slowly what he is angry about.. try to calm him down before he starts to raise his temper..

BBroom: Another mummy says it may be he's confused over when to wear diapers and when not to wear...

My mum insist on a regular bedtime for him, thus, he has been going to bed at 9pm since 1.5 year old. But he doesn't sleep immediately though, always till almost 11pm then he drifts off...

BBroom: Nope, he doesn't do it in daytime though...

Only night time. I'm more inclined to believe he did this on purpose to get out of bed.

A few mummies advise me to go see a doctor to check if he is ok. I will monitor 2 more days and see if it's still like that..

I am new in the thread here. Anyone living with in-law. My son zheng kai since young stays with my auntie, now about 9mths with us. He and my mother in law does not click. Any advise ?
Zheng Kai is now at Mindchamps @ tampines N2B ( 3.3 mths )

Hi Crystalbelle,

I'm new here too. I stayed ith my in-law since married and moved to my place 2 years later. My gal is 3+yrs now and has been staying with my in-laws since born as she schools nearby, only weekends she comes home. Initially, she is very distant with my dad (stays with us). So we bought her a "welcome" gift and said it's from grandpa and to remind her to address and involve grandpa during playtime.
My dad also spends time to bring her to playground and buy little things to keep her happy. Now she looks forward to coming home every weekend.

hey, long time no talk and how's everyone doing? this thread has been so quiet...
I m down with chicken pox and resting at home...

when are we gg to have our gathering? our kids have grown since we last met...

Hi mommies

Been so long since I last chat with everyone..heee...

Had to find time outta work to sort my son's pre-school out..He is traumatised by the chinese teacher....am i being too sensitive? does anyone else face the same problem?

Issit a norm for pre-schools Nursery 2 educators to practice the "here we don't force the kids to study, if they don't like the Chinese teacher or don't like her classes, they can choose to be left in a corner during her classes or choose not to attend". A remark made by a school principal after knowing her Chinese Teacher told my mum "Your grandson is such a baby, I merely told him if you don't know how to read then don't read" and he cried. Being a parent, I don't know if its just being too sensitive as a parent or is such mentality a general thing these days.

I was told that My First Skool is pretty good thus before I put my son into another similar situation I really hope to know if I'm just being too sensitive being a parent or are such educators mentality actually unacceptable in the education system. Sigh...really need to decide fast as it is traumatizing my lil boy too much....

Hi Flower77,

I think the chinese teacher is too much. Being a young child educator she must be a very kind and patient person. And they must not give up on a child and say things like - "u don't know how to read then don't read lor." Then we pay $ to the sch for wat? I would definitely change my child's sch if that is the attitude of the educators there... Just my own opinion..

Hi Jaline and all,
Yeah, its been 3 years plus since we started this thread n our kids are already 3 yrs, some even coming to 4 yrs old!

More than happy to join the next gathering if we are having any... must be kids friendly place..

Anyone here having their no. 3? Not sure I'm too lucky or not, no. 3 coming soon. I'm now at my 5 months already but bb too shy to show me his/her gender.... of cos, hoping to have girl girl. For those of you who know, my no. 1 and 2 are both BOYs... having a 3rd boy would be quite hell at home, can't think of it man...

Flower77,
Suggest that you feedback to the in charge/principal if there's anything that you are not happy with. Its better to clarify things and set rules straight from the start before its too late.
