hi cherry,
have checked with the nurses from my gynae's clinic and they confirmed tat if one bedder gynae charges will be higher leh... so maybe its my gynae who charge according to the room..anyway no choice now since cannot change gynae also...
have you been to MT E hospital tour? was thinking of registering but almost 35wks liao dunno is it too late?
also do you know if MT E will provide clothes & receiving blankets for BB? was packing my bag last nite and wondering need to bring pampers, clothes etc or not?

i checked with a friend who delivered at Mt E and she told me nothing is free there. So better be prepared and bring everything that you and bb may need. In case your hubby is driving and will be staying with you, there would be a carpark charge of either $50 for a pass or $60 for parking for 3 days.
I didn't go for any hospital tour also and didn't attend any case, all i know is from reading books.

wat is your gynae charges for normal delivery w/o epi? mine is $900 (double bedder) and $1,200 (single) not sure if its on the high side as i didnt really do any comparison before...

The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in mid air, and looked up as Though she had not heard right. I repeated the title slowly, emphasizing The most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.
"Might I ask," said the clerk with new interest, "just what you do in your field?"
Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply, "I have a continuing program of research, (what mother doesn't), in the laboratory and in the field, (normally I would have said indoors and out).
"I'm working for my Masters, (the whole darned family), and already have four credits, (all daughters). Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities, (any mother care to disagree?) and I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it). But the job is more Challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money. There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door.
As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career, I was greeted by my lab assistants - ages 13, 7, and 3. Upstairs I could hear our new experiment, (a 6 month old baby), on the child-development program, testing out a new vocal pattern. I felt triumphant! I had scored a beat on bureaucracy! And I had gone on the official records as someone more distinguished and indispensable to mankind than "just another mother."
Motherhood.....What a glorious career! Especially when there's a title on the door.

If the gynae's delivery charge is 1200 then I think my package is worth lah package + gynae charge for normal delivery is $2K.

nope...she's staying near my grandma n my grandma also get her to do normal massage for her. malay massage must hv strength n since my grandma said her strength is good then me trying her anyway her cost is still affordable.
i got a couple of other contracts, one fm tamp heard she damn good but too bad she's either too busy with appts or too ex liao...
but a pc of advice is to get another nbr or 2 in case either u find her no good or she not free. or u want the tamp lady's nbr?

My gynae also don't have any package, however, becos i paid half the delivery charges (ie half of $1100) at 20 something weeks, i am only charged $21 per visit for normal things like scan, medicine (multivit + calcium). Other blood test or mediciation would be charged separate.

I no choice lah I package definitely cheaper coz my gynae very exp lor I didnt check ard. u all went clinic or hospital? My scan alone already 60 gynae 80 so definitely package is worthwhile... If I gg hv my 2nd kids really need 2 think?

u still 1 2 go travel ah ? go where ? no nd doc letter to book the tour package. but u need doc to write letter just in case. u also got to check if the airline let u fly or not. Now u quite advanced liow ley.

I agree when I take public transport, those pp just pretend not to see you. Some will pretend to sleep...sometimes I need to stand all the way abt 30mins.
My feet started to swell too but only at night...got to buy new flat shoes. Mine mostly with a bit of heels.

talking abt toyogo. i saw the toyogo 5 tier at Carrefour @ Plz sing. They got nicer colours ! Blue and purple. Price is $34.90. So regret buying mine. But will take it as cost savings.

Are u sure they allow us to board the plane after 30weeks, even with gynae's letter? I also tot of gg bkk lei.. now air tickets so cheap!! Hubby wants to bring me to batam as well but nt sure if i will be allowed to board the ferry or nt.

Seems tat many of them jack up their prices liao..
I have called Mdm Naini. She sounded veri pro when i enquire abt her package.. Kind of feel veri assured and convinced to engage her despite her high charges lei.. Still contemplating to source for cheaper alternatives thou.

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and he handed her a piece of paper from a legal pad that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron she read it, & this is what it said:
For cutting the grass; $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week; $1.00
For going to the store for you. $.50
Basby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total $14.75
Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No. charge
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No charge.
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No charge
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No charge
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No charge, son.
When you add it up, the cost of my love is: No charge
