Thank you mummies! Now I have to cancel my biz trip next mth & break the news earlier to my boss & colleagues. No more traveling for me. Will do anything to keep beanie safe!
 
Babygaga, who are u seeing? And who is the fetus specialist? I am also still having on and off bleeding but am going back to work on Monday. How many weeks are u? HL until 12th week is really long!
 
Mummycoccyx, I am seeing Dr Christine Yap at Mt E but she is more of a Obstetrician coz she don't do delivery. I will be looking for a gynae once things are more stable. She referred me to Dr Chia Yee Tien also at Mt E. I am now 6w2d.
Although she gave me HL until 12th week but I will still have to work from home or go back office maybe once in a while. Lying on the bed for so long will also make me go crazy!

Hi ymt, me me, So far I seen him only once, first impression quite gd, he didnt rush, quite comfortable talking to him too. At first I was quite shy becos it's a male doc, but after some talkkng and laughing during the consultation, I started to feel easier.

So far that was the only experience I have with him.

I am so hungry all the time! I need to eat every two hours....anyone of you ladies is like this? What do you eat to curb your hunger pangs.

I just tested positive on Friday! So excited as this is my 1st pregnancy! :)
I am in week 5... according to the app my edd is 15may..:)
Will be seeing gynae on 1st October , very long wait! Think most of the gynae will only see us on week 8?

Momocrv, me too I am hungry all the time!! Every 3 hrs I will feel hungry! I eat fruits or drink hot milk to curb my hunger!:p

i insisted on seeing the gynae on week 6 cause i was uncertain about what to eat/not eat or what to do/not to do as this is also my first pregnancy plus i was very curious about seeing the little baby cause my friend told me 6 weeks can see heartbeat already hehehe

momocrv, me too!! i always feel hungry and i will snack on whatever i have at home...like cookies, biscuits, apple, potato chips hehehe
 
Thanks babymarian! Same here wanted to see gynae earlier coz very excited and looking forward to hear the my little baby heartbeat! Counting down to 1st October and is also my hubby bade! Ha his best gift ever!:)

Feeling tired and hungry all the time...I am hungry nw again..ha..going to as my hubby to buy popiah for me..
 
I need to have rice to feel full otherwise I still get the hunger pangs....I hope this won't last long otherwise I won't be able to get out from my main door!

I also have the same craving as you..RICE..it's do different to my eating habit ..last time I eat only at most 5 tablespoon of rice. ..now I can finish up the whole packet...goodness me.... and plus soup ..... keke

I think I saw him for 3 times.. He scan me once.. Still ok.. But you have to ask him qn as he will only tell you the essential..
 
Momo, rest well now.. Just avoid as much as you can.. I don't eat a lot now though I don't have much MS.. Eat healthily like fruits and nuts!

I'm also hungry most of the time now! Everytime my husband sees me eat, he'll always say,'yah, you confirm pregnant'

Anyway, Im having spotting since last Thur, from light pink to dark brown to dark red now. I'm not very worried yet as this is my #3 but then crazy thoughts will still run through my mind lar, just got to keep positive like what you ladies have been encouraging! And since gynae appt is tonight just nice can let him know about it hehe.. Still at work now.. but I think he'll definitely give MC but I still have work yet to clear!
 
Just see gynae last friday, i see the heartbeat already. gynae also happy to see i have weight gain .... I think i should control my eat, last few weeks cravings for those junk food then only sleeping and eat like a pig. haizzh.....
 
Hello mummies, i was tested positive using test kits about 10 days ago, scheduled with doctor tomorrow. But yest I had heavy bleeding and severe cramps and backache. I went to KK A&E at midnight, made the 1st vaginal scan but doc cant see anything! The doctor took my blood for testing and I am going back to KK for second check tml. If I am pregnant, should be around 6W1day. Anyone with previous similar experience? Is it normal that the scan cant see anything? I am worried about the continous bleeding since yesterday noon to this morning. I even passed out a blood clot when I urine..

U mean dr cant see anything or can see the sac but not fetal pole yet? I have been bleeding for past 2 weeks from brown to pink to red n with clots too... did kkh dr give u a jab n duphaston? Insists on a jab n bed rest.

Eeznyl, that's good to hear that hcg is increasing!! Praying for you that your healthy little baby will grow well and you'll be able to see him/her on Saturday!!
 
@jubileebaby I suggest you go for another gynae just to confirm again what happen to you. This is happened to me in Feb. Early feb, go see gynae just for check up and accidentally doctor found me pregnant but with sac only. I do not believe that I am pregnant at that time. Then after 2 weeks I was bleeding, I thought it was my period. I saw gynae 2 days later, then gynae cannot find anything, no sac anymore. Then ask me to come back in one week time. I was still bleeding the whole week, then when come back, my gynae told me I am confirmed not pregnant. Then I go to another gynae again, he still cannot confirm why this happened to me. He think I might be miscarriage, but when I go to see him, it is already late.

Yay... I am so happy too. But I think I need to control my food now and eat something healthy. My gynae has arranged for oscar test mid Oct, I am still hesitate whether want to do it or just give it a skip. I cannot imagine if I have bad result on oscar then it will be another burden in mind the whole period of my pregnancy ....
 
Eeznyl, rest well and hope you can meet your beanie this sat! I am also back on bed rest until Friday after a fresh red bleeding episode on sat night. I have an appt in Kk this sat too!! Praying hard for all mummies that our bleeding stops soon and our bb grow strong and healthy!!!
 
Mylilsheep, I am thinking of not doing. I did for my #1 and turned out abnormal and they said risk of having heart defect but can only confirm after birth. In the end was so anxious whole pregnancy but he turned out healthy in the end with no problem!

Yup, I think we should keep more fruits and dried fruits close to us hehehe so we will snack on healthy things...hmmm if that's the case then I think you should skip it...no point to worry yourself cause I read there is a lot false positives for oscar test...

Then my gynae also told me this year there are one case when baby on low risk side in oscar, but in the end the baby is delivered with down syndrome. So what is the point doing this test? Confused .....

Harmony is more for those who fall under "high-risk" age group bah.. like late 30s and 40 onwards. And just do it for peace of mind.
 


Good Day Mummies! So nice to see this May thread so active as compared to mummy.sg forum. ha..

My 1st baby gal just turned 1yo in Sep 14 and last friday i have been tested positive and will be expecting a 2nd one in 17 May 15. (Online calculator). Have not go for Antenatal consulation yet. 1st delivery was at Thomson Medical Center (Total cost more than 10k with induce natural, epidual, then e-cesarean and baby stay in ICU for 2 days.) This time rd would like to go for Mount Avernia instead. (Hopefully no need to pay soo much again!) I am residing in the west, any good/nice gynae recommendation? TIA!
