Treatment for Urinary Tract Infection in Babies

Hi there,

Has anyone's baby or young child undergone treatment for UTI before? Were you allowed in the treatment room with him/her when the urine (urinary catheterization) and blood (via vein) samples were taken, as well when the IV antibiotics was given (plug insertion)?

Hi, my 4 months boy was just recovered from UTI lately. I stayed in kk for 4 days, from my experience, parents are not allowed to be in the treatment while they are take the urine & blood sample & plug insertion. The whole process took about 20 mins. I was literally praying and crying outside the treatment room. It's really hard to hear their crying outside the treatment room & can't do anything...
