Decided to start this thread since there is little info in this forum. Please share what worked for you!
Let me share mine:
Some background info: mine is elective caesar for breech, spinal anaesthesia
1. Pain control - not much pain for up to 16 hrs post op, as the spinal effects are still present. Thereafter I took all the given meds (2panadol & 2 ibuprofen) before I started having pain. Key is to stay ahead of the pain, it helps alot especially with walking and getting out of bed. I tapered off painkillers as the days progressed, and took them as i needed.
2. Pooping
I pooped on D6 post op. Ate lots of bananas and vege. Tried a few times to poop before that but was afraid of straining. On D6 the pain was significantly lesser and I strained while putting firm pressure on my wound with my hands. It helped greatly. What a relief to poop!
