AUTISM, ADHD, ADD, etc - SUPPORT GROUP!

Hi Caramel08 You may wish to take into consideration your son's progress, teachers', therapists' and psychologist's feedback on his readiness for mainstream? At least that was what I did before enrolling my kid into the mainstream. Also, we visited the school of our choice and spoke to the...

Hi Gracelynn For my case, it's either they made us wait indefinitely or just called up to give a very short notice like "we have slots for your child on Tuesday at a fixed timing." This was not helpful in our situation as I'm a full time working mum plus my kid still have to attend his...

Also, if you child knows how to read perhaps can get him/her to read to the younger one too to beef up the reading skill & create some siblings' bonding.

Hi Caramel I find it really very challenging too to guide both at the same time with one whom I was trying to focus on (my SN boy) while the other (neurotypical one) wants my full attention. I'm not too sure what kind of therapy you were trying to do with your child but these are some of...

Hi newmummy08 I supposed you are scheduled the same test which we sent our boy to, by KKH as it also cost us abt $330 for 3 hours assessment & thereafter, we had abt 30-45min feedback session with the psychologist. We paid the fee thru CDA which you might want to consider But we did...

Hi Shinnonu May I know if the assessment was a straight 4hrs session or broken up to 3hrs + 1hr (feedback session without child) 'cos that was what we were given. We went for the 3hrs last Friday & the psychologist was ok to continue for another 1hr so that we do not have to turn up 2...

Hi Lynn I can understand how you feel as my son was rejected by an RC playgp near my place after one wk trial. The teacher felt somewhat my son is different from other children as he cried very badly when I was out of his sight and refused to let the teacher cuddle him. The advice given by...

Hi Jevinsmum We are still on the waiting list and even if they do really call us up, we were told that the centre has to do a screening of my child first deciding to accept him. The CEL staff advised us to give Touch Hougang a call to check on the status if we do not hear them by within 2...

Btw, saw some mommies posted here on the ability to play peekaboo or hide & seek. I remembered the doc at the CDU also asked us this qn during our 'interview'. Is it really one of the traits? Tho my boy is able to play it since very young age.

Hi Jevinsmum Thanks for sharing on the ICE program. We had considered the PCS in Hougang and Tampines but ended up we chose Hougang Touch instead as distance wise, it is nearer to our place. We had yet to visit the one in Tampines and unfortunately, CEL only allow us to choose one cenre.
