Recommendation for gynae at KKH private

Hi, Usually it's ok to change to other gynae past first trimester when the pregnancy is more stablised. Dr Tan will actually ask u if you are going to switch to other drs past week 14. I stayed on with him for my first pregnancy. I did consider seeing another gynae as it was v difficult to get...

    IVF with KKH (Tan HH)

It's just his recommendation. You can speak to him about your concerns after he shares with u about the pros n cons. Like what the ladies mentioned, it's good to read up about it n then make a decision with ur hb before ET but gotta be flexible about it. For me, we have already made up our mind...

    IVF with KKH (Tan HH)

Hi, Dr Tan will discusss whether to transfer on day 2/3 or blast when u meet him on the ET arranged on Day 2/3. Mine was on day 3 as my OPU was on Friday. Based on the quality and number of the embryos on that day, the embryologist will recommend if it's advisable to go for blastocyst culture...

    IVF with KKH (Tan HH)

As long as there's an embryo transferred back, there's a possibility of the embryo developing into a baby. There's always a risk waiting for the development to blastocyst and if none of them survive till day 5, then u'll have to go through OPU again. The embryologist will advise based on the...

    Switch gynae after IVF

Hi. I stayed on with my ivf gynae at kkh during my pregnancy due to familiarity. If u would like to gynae from other hospitals, you can just call them up n make appointment like usual pregnancy. You can also let them know that u had undergone ivf. Most gynaes do not reject ivf patients. I only...

Mine was submucosal (in the inner uterine lining). Dr mentioned that if I didnt remove it, it would lower the chances of implantation.

Yes. We were v blessed. My boy is turning 1yo soon. Was alittle skeptical initially when the cycle was so soon after the op. We trusted Dr Tan anyway and didn't question about it. Maybe it acts like endo-scratch? Not sure. Ha.

Hi. I had a 2.7cm fibroid in my womb and it was removed just one month before my fresh cycle in 2015. Had a trans-cervical op, so no open wound. My op was in late March and I had my post op review in April n Dr Tan arranged for my fresh cycle in May.

    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

I experienced something similar. Are you breastfeeding? I had AF every 2 weeks for 4 consecutive AF. Then it stopped for 3 months. And then it started when baby was 6mo. Now seems like more regular. Dunno if it's normal but it didn't cause any physical discomfort so I didn't see Dr.

    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

Thanks, gal! Should I change my appointment with Dr Tan from March to Dec/Jan? Not sure if I can still be slotted in for IVF in May if I see him in March. I want to breastfeed my boy till his first birthday in Feb. Will it be too late to stop then?

    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

Are there any mummies here who were breastfeeding before starting a fresh ivf cycle or FET? How many regular menses cycle must we have before we can start an ivf cycle? Thinking of going for a fresh cycle in May/June and I'm not sure when should I stop breastfeeding. Actually, I'm having menses...

    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

Was told not to start with fruits first. Cos baby might reject vege later on as fruits are much sweeter. Also read that the fructose in fruits might cause explosive diarrhoea if baby's body is not able to digest it well before 6 months. I started with rice cereal. Then puréed vege (pumpkin...

Read that some mummies start sleep training after 4 months. My 7 mth boy still fusses before he sleeps. He'll be v "mang zhang" and make a lot of noise when I'm holding him. As I rock and sing, he'll calm down and fall asleep. Actually after his 3/4am feed n diaper change, he's awake but he can...

I was very reluctant to use the pacifier when my confinement lady asked me to use it. She gave to him only at night. So now I only give my boy his pacifier when he's going to sleep. Cos I dun latch him. A lot of babies do comfort latching to fall asleep. While he's asleep, he'll spit it out. He...
