Need some advice? CCA or Tuition

Good suggestion to let him try since he may not be able to judge if he doesnt know what CCAs can be like. Could be that he has made new friends at tuition too.

    Any good maid agency recommend?

I have a maid whom I am helping to arrange a transfer for. Main reason is that my mom wants to quit to look after our #2 at home herself so there is no need for a maid anymore. No wish to send her back to PH since she has done quite alright for us since last August/September so we want to try...

    MOTHER-IN-LAW PROBLEMS

Yes indeed. There must have been quite a few reasons why you married him! Try to remember what these points are and see the good in people. It will help you bear with everything just that bit better.

Mil insist on taking care of bb her own way

My mom is very keen on taking our babies out of infant and child care. Keeps volunteering to quit. I have hesitated since it is not easy for her to find a job when she is in her 60s once our kids are older, unless she is okay with early retirement. LOL Good luck with #2! Money is good to have...

Trouble with the MIL Part 2

My child is almost 5 months old now. He is very underweight to be frank - started off under and now still under. We have sent him to infant care since everyone in our families is working. He is babbling on a lot and seems quite active so we are fine. My mom is feeding my elder girl who is 2...

    (2015/12) Dec 2015 Mummies

We were struggling with our colicky baby for a while until we came across this article where these parents had a newborn that died after a few days, longing just to hear a baby cry. We are just thankful that our baby looks health and can cry! At least we know he is alive..

    MOTHER-IN-LAW PROBLEMS

@Evon21 - you have to hang on in there. Everyone has their problems. I hope both your husband and you can talk it through nicely to iron things out..

Mil insist on taking care of bb her own way

Good luck.. Only you can decide which set of cons outweigh the pros. For us we had no choice since our in laws and parents are all still working, hence placing our children in infant/child care. However with that comes the 'benefit' of less conflict on parenting style too. You may well decide...

Trouble with the MIL Part 2

Everyone has their own way of doing things which they assume to be the right way. We are all like that. At the end of the day it is about relationships with one another. It sounds like feeding him is a pretty important point for you. Perhaps sending him back to infant care may be a better...

    Hubby's best friend's GF

Sounds like a good chat with your husband would be in order? Regardless of cultures, happy wife = happy marriage. I would be surprised if your husband doesnt become smarter. He would naturally be defensive at the start but that is why a discussion that is less emotional and based more on facts...

    Need Advise on Maids

@bellsbells - Not sure what has gone on since December. It is probably better to cut your losses since your son's welfare is at stake. The $800-1,000 extra to get a new maid would not be much if something really happens! We made some enquiries recently with MOM when things with our helper were...

Should I return the helper to the agency?

@bluestars - any updates about whether you have sent your helper back to the agency or country?

Should I return the helper to the agency?

@joyfulmommy - We share the same mindset with your mom too. Our main aim with getting a helper was to help us with our babies after we bring them home after work and daycare. Since the maid seems to be doing a pretty decent job of taking of our two babies, such as changing diapers, carrying...

    Changing of co-applicant for BTO

Yes can change. It will be an interesting session at HDB though since all three parties seem like they have to be present together..

Mil insist on taking care of bb her own way

As mrs_tann has said, it is a nice thing that you have a MIL who is willing to take care. Everyone has their own way of doing things regardless of whether they are objectively right or wrong. It is important to try and strike a balance between standing your ground and maintaining a healthy...

    Jealousy

I'm just thankful that our babies are healthy. How they look is really not important at all.. :) Dont worry about things that you cannot control, like how other babies look.

Baby crying but i do not know what is the reason.

There's one method we used - 'cycling' of his legs and pushing his legs into a 90deg position while lying down. That seemed to help cause he farted quite a bit after that. Personally I think the only way with colicky babies is to be patient and ride out the tough moments. Hang on in there!

**Beware of Babysitter Blk 414 Sembawang Drive**

Sorry to hear about your plight. We send our kids to infant and child care, mainly because these places can be held more accountable than third party babysitters do. There are cons as well but we have decided to deal with these instead rather than go with an environment where there's only one...
