Hi there! Welcome to Summer's Therapy Services. I am Hui Ting, the founder and clinical director of Summer's.

I am a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professional Council (Singapore). I graduated from La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia) with a Bachelor in Speech Pathology (with Honours), in 2007. Prior to this, I had completed my first degree of Bachelor in Arts and Social Sciences (Social Work and Psychology) from National University of Singapore (NUS), in 2002. I am currently a member of Neuro-Development Treatment Association (NTDATM), The Hanen Centre®, and Golden Key International Honour Society.

I have many years of experience working with children with special needs, as well as mainstream children with specific speech and language difficulties. My passion lies specifically in children with delayed speech and children with feeding difficulties.

I am certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), PECS®, Oral Placement Therapy (TalkTools® Level 1 & 2 and Childhood Apraxia of Speech), VitalStim® and Hanen® (It Takes Two to Talk). I am also trained in PROMPT®, DIRFloortime®, M.O.R.E®, TEAACH® and Sensory-Motor Approach to Feeding. In addition, I had undergone a series of workshops on Sensory Processing Difficulties by OTR Kim Barthel.

Having worked in a special school and an early intervention center for nearly eight years, I have vast experience in working with children with a variety of diagnosis, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Global Developmental Delays (GDD), Down Syndrome and other genetic disorders. I have collaborated with Occupational Therapists, Phsyiotherapists, Music Therapists, Art Therapists as well as Special Education Teachers. My experience in a multi-disciplinary team has enhanced my clinical work in a dynamic way. I am always exploring new approaches to therapy and use multi-approaches to facilitate the development of a child’s speech and language skills.

I firmly believe that the caregiver is a child’s best Therapist. I strongly advocate for caregiver involvement and have much experience working with caregivers and providing caregiver education. With this belief, I set up Summer's Therapy Services to bring therapy services to right to you, RIGHT AT HOME.
