Sorry for reaching out so late - i just want you to know that i totally know how you feel. We were diagnosed July 2020 and we are still trying to cope with the news.

Sorry you are given this sucky diagnosis! We too received the same news in July so i know its not easy. Hang in there and this support group is great! They helped me a lot when i was so lost and sad at the beginning. Exchanging stories made me feel like im not in this alone.

Yes, usually after SA reveals some abnormality (which in your hb's case is low count and motility), doc will recommend the blood test to check FSH and testosterone. This is done to determine if they can find the cause of the low count and motility and treat it accordingly.

Hello there. We did LH, FSH & testosterone test. Then it came back that the FSH level is elevated.
Our doc then recommended the y microdeletion test to determine the cause of the azoospermia.

Im seeing Dr Roland Chieng. Personally i feel he is very thorough. He will first check the wife for infertility reasons. For us, i passed all the bloodwork and scans so now moved on to check hubs. His approach is that it could be 50/50 reason why TCC is unsuccessful, it's not...

I guess the genetic test is a confirmation for us that there is no chance to find sperm even with tese. :( nonetheless,i have booked an appt with a urologist next week. Just wanted to hear a second opinion.
