I find the peace of mind is worth the extra money. With the FTS ultrasound, I could see the baby's body parts, organs etc, and worth the peace to know everything is developing well.

Private NIPT at KKH i.e. the Harmony test is about $700 plus + additional 7% GST. I'm not sure though if KKH allows skipping of "OSCAR", which they refer to as the FTS - first trimester screening. When I did my tests recently, they asked if I wanted to do FTS and Harmony. I did both tests.

Generally, no news is good news! Means the embryo is developing and hence no reason to call you earlier for sudden transfers. KKH didn't inform me about embryo status and number of eggs retrieved till I was in the room to do the embryo transfer process.

From my experience, the doctor said that folic acid is the only proven supplement to be neccessary. I was taking Ovasitol but stopped during IVF to avoid any interference. The doctor also preferred that so they have a very clear picture of the treatment process. I did take whey protein shakes...

I did my IVF fresh cycle with Dr Liu Shu Ling. Successful on 1st fresh cycle. Currently about 9 weeks pregnant. I like Dr Liu - she is very matter-of-fact, but listens closely and will give recommendations. Planning to stay with her throughout pregnancy as well.

Hi Sleepycloud, at my 6 week transvaginal scan, I could see gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole. Worried for 2 weeks but saw baby and heartbeat at the transabdominal 8 week scan, and all measurements were on track. Sometimes the baby just needs a little more time!
