Tanny, maybe instead of giving ur bb a larger qty every x hours tat u are going by now, u can try to give that same qty at a shorter interval? That's what I am doing with mine with the hope of her drinking more.

Itsy, the 1st time I went, I paid ard 140. Dunno what is the breakdown though. Cos I also had to use some of the supplies as I did not bring any ebm and she had to pump me. So she used a pump set which I brought home after that. Also the tubing, although she say she can give me a couple, I am...

Mummydee, if u want to latch, it is still possible. Bb is still young. Some Lc may say it is not possible but if u preserve, it is possible. For my #1, as I had mastitis which turned into abscess, I was not able to latch. But I managed to successfully latch her for 20 mths starting from her 2nd...

Mummydee, like what itsy say, dun give up. I personally believe in the benefits of latching. I also have the same problem as you. Felt very down esp since this is my #3 and had enjoyed the joy and benefits of latching my other 2. As such I was determined to latch my #3 which I now managed with a...

Would like to find out. How much weight has your bb put on since they left the hospital? Mine is 4 weeks tdy and I think she has only put in ard 600g which seems very little when I compare to my other 2. When I went to see the pd 2 weeks back, I was told that at 3 weeks bb should be taking...

Joanne, only way to prevent the lumps from coming back is to ensure that u pump or latch frequently and try to empty your breast regularly even if u have to go out. And in my opinion, the best way to empty the breast is actually with the help of bb. With the problems I encountered with my...

Itsy, that's my problem with my dd as well although she is full term. But I guess as well as we keep trying and dun give up and that bb is putting on weight, we should be fine. Now I am waiting for my dd next checkup to give me the comfort that she is gaining weight....

Itsy, just sharing my experience. some bb have no problem switching between bottle and breast. But for some, once they get the bottle, they may not want the breast as it is harder work for them to get the milk. Just like mine dd. after 1 bottle and she reject the breast. So if you would like to...

Java, Tracy, sg_sc, thanks for your comments. Since I last posted, I managed to get bb to latch. However, she still has a very weak suck on the breast and not able to or not willing to work hard on the breast. As such after 'latching' her for 30-45 mins, I am still able to pump out quite a but...
