It is hard to bring those websites down, there will always be new ones coming up. If MDA can do something abt it, they would done it long ago. Those websites are using US servers, can MDA stop these websites from running? It would be easier to control if it is using local servers. The people who set up these websites would hv known that it is not easy to shut down websites using overseas servers.

I do not agree its upto the wives to "look after" your men. You cannot possibly stalk your husbands what they are doing. Whilst surfing online, they will be tempted to see these websites, even if they seriously do it out of curiosity or to conform to peer pressure, they will go and visit the websites. Then they will be "open", expose to the wonderland. Men are men, they are curious like kids, if there is a chance, they may just take their chance.

Do you think banning it will prevent other new websites from popping up? By all means, make yourselves to be heard. You would need a petition to make yrselves heard. I know our govt is not proactive at all, that's why wives hv to do their part if they know their husbands are "straying" at this websites. I am not talking abt stalking their husbands which is meaningless and a waste of time. I am talking abt dealing with marriage problems constructively. Be it seeking counsellors' advice or dealing it personally, it has to be constructive otherwise it is a waste of time. Are you saying every man will stray if there is an opportunity? Not all men will stray, it is the commitment and the sense of responsibility to the family that some men still uphold. It is also the beliefs that make a man stray or not. To simply say that any man will stray if the opportunity arises, it is not objective. Why would there be no reason? There is always a reason for every action, just like in cause and effect. If a man is born in a family which the father strays and the mum just accepts it, this influences and already instil a belief in a young boy who might grow up to be like the father. He also believe that it is ok for the wife to accept it. It would be a vicious cycle for the next generation if this man's wife also tolerate the cheating which is very unhealthy. Whatever the parents does, it has a effect on a child unless the child grows up and knows how to differentiate what is right or wrong. Then this cycle would stop at this child who would not repeat the same mistake as his father.

There are many underlying issues in a broken marriage and many are emotional issues which the betrayer they themselves don't even know. Hv you wanted to find an answer and closure to yr marriage? Initially, I thought my husband has a problem and I self pity myself. As I read up more, a lot of problems in the marriages stems from emotional problems in the childhood. Emotional problems are not easy to detect, but I am glad I hv found out the problems within myself and my husband, though he would not admit it. I do not just read, I hv experienced all these things myself. I hv been through hell, thinking of death and been in depression for a long time. Do you think I find all these answers easily? I tried all ways to find my answers, and there are times I broke down and thinking of giving up. I went through many emotional pain and years to find my answers.
As for cancer, there are many factors. Even if a healthy person who leads a healthy lifestyle but if he is not emotionally healthy, he can succumb to cancer. Healthy means physically, mentally and emotionally healthy, which is not easy to attain in today's society. I hv understood the reasons why cancer is increasing in our generation, and yes I hv read a lot on health due to my poor health cos no doctors be it western or Chinese doctor could tell me what was wrong with me. I make the effort to help myself cos I do not want to be stuck in a rut.

Playboy was banned eons ago where there wasn't any internet, therefore any of its affiliated publicity channels, later websites are affected because obscenities / pornography materials exist in those channels related to Playboy, it was banned as a company, but not its products. Just like any other banned websites, to my knowledge, SBF didn't exist as a foreign hosted site initially, it was being shut down and shifted due to the regulations here, so I don't think that the govt has not done anything about it. Just that it is hard for our internet regulations to be enforced because this involves cross countries regulatories. If it is that easy as to write a petition and demand a shutdown, online piracy who have ended long ago. Likewise, govt cannot be spending huge revenues to chase after these sites and clamp them down and it is in the millions by today and like viruses, it's impractical and impossible to be putting an absolute control over these sites for as long as there's a demand, there'll be someone to supply.
So saying if someone effectively closed down SBF, you can't stop that same guy or his ardent fans from starting another calling it ABF / BBF / CBF whatever. Just like how terrorists able to keep operating websites for their followers.
