the old folks say no cos the hospital room already consider as "confinement rooom"?

For some really pantang families, Yes - They dont go visiting during the stay in hospital AND confinement as the moment the lady gives birth, they say it's vv "dirty".

It depends on individual. What if you are a nurse at the maternity ward? What if you are a doctor? It depends on how you feel. If you feel strongly, then avoid it. If you feel that it's no big deal, then go for it. I just went to see a pair of newborn twins. So adorable! Wouldn't have missed it!
