Antenatal Classes - any recommendations?

Hi mummies, am pregnant now with first girl, delivering in Jan 2024...

Anyone been to antenatal classes and would recommend their one to me? How would these compare to baby seminars which are free / sponsored by insurance companies, or researching by yourself?

Please let me know which ones you have attended and if there is any hands-on / interaction with baby dolls, I learn quite poorly by just sitting in a lecture... Am considering the Mount E Novena Parentcraft lesson.

Thank you!

Hello. I highly recommend a non-hospital birth class, rather than one focused on lecturing about hospital processes during "delivery" and crash course on handling babies. If you're a first time mum, it is really eye opening to learn about birth as a natural process and build up your confidence and positivity leading to your new arrival. Do look for classes organized by birth doulas or midwifes, it helped me loads! Most of them also have a post-birth check in to ensure you're coping with baby.

Hi CupofTea!

Would you have any recommendations of classes organised by birth doulas or midwives? :)

Hello! You can consider Parentlink, Blooming Births, and Doula Lorraine (my own doula). There are others you can find via doulasofsingapore website too, based on your schedule, needs, as well as comfort level with the provider :)
