I am lucky I managed to get a very good tutor who has the experience and special needs qualifications from NZ specialising in ADHD and dyslexia. My son has shown so much improvement. Uh, I see. it can be tricky to differentiate ADHD from a child who is simply active and energetic or mischievous.
I saw this online and I think there's a lot of tests needed to fully diagnose a child with this disorder..

my nephew was diagnosed with this at the age of 3 because he was showing some symptoms that's not normal among his peers. they did so many tests to confirm it and the parents really need to work hand in hand with the child & the teacher to help the child. He took 4 years to fully set this disorder behind and he's back in mainstream school, doing very good for subjects like Math.
These kids tend to be quite good in certain areas.
Oh btw, my nephew does not rely on medication like what most kids do. He basically go through a series of programs with the mom and change the diet thoroughly, e.g. no sugar. Maybe you can try looking into this diet part as well, surprisingly it will really help a child, like how we always say sugar rush.

Thank you so much... He since to quite ok with his school work provided he want to learn.. he juz lazy at times.. Agreed that ADHD kids like Math subject. now I m more worry is the school.. He keep having fight in school.. been telling him all the time not to do it n is wrong to do.. but after a while when he go to school he will forgot everything wat I say... overall he got a good heart juz cannot control himself at times... very impulsive character... haiz....

Uh, do you try to talk to him like chatting with friends, on what agitate him to have fight? Sometimes it could be the classmates he has in school that do something to him, and make him upset. Perhaps try asking how he feel, analyse with him the whole idea and if that solves his problem.

So worry that the school dun want him if he keep continue fighting n so impulsive .... i did ask him... Sometimes he start it first as no one want to play with him...but at times, he trying to be helpful n hit the kid up if he saw someone kana bully... haiz... Sometimes he too naughty n create fight. With others ... All kind of non senses. ..
Hi Claudia, I have the same case as you. My son is P1 . Teacher says he scratches his class mates. I asked him why. Sometimes he says they bothers him and sometimes he says don't know. Last time in k2 he is not like that. I am also stress. Really need to confide and talk to someone. If can , maybe we can share about it. SMS me at 98788079

The thesis of my research is 'An analysis of the experiences of Singapore parents with ADHD children’., The aim is to understand the experience of parents in dealing with their hyperactive children’s education through dynamic analysis of children. I would herein seek the help of anyone with this task. I need 3 to 4 parents who would be willing to share their experiences in parenting their hyperactive children.
I will provide a set of questionnaires for a face to face interview. As my thesis is in Chinese, preferably I would like to interview in the Chinese medium, however those who are bi-lingual are welcome to participate.
All personal data contributed will be held in confidence with me and will not be used for any other purpose but solely for this exercise. In addition, I am also prepared to offer a hundred dollars gift voucher to those who are willing to participate in this exercise. Sincerely hope for your help.
