3mm fetus but no heartbeat?

Hi.

I'm 36. Had 2 previous miscarriages at 4 weeks and 12 weeks.

I am now conceiving again. First appt on 10th of June shows a "shadow like" sac. The last appt on 24th June I had last week , shows development with CRL 3mm fetus but no heartbeat. Quite devastated. Gynae ordered another scan in 2 weeks. Is 3mm too small for a heartbeat to be seen? I am now taking Duphaston 2 times a day. In fact been taking it ever since I knew I got pregnant.

Think 3mm is still too small for a heartbeat to be detected. Probably need at least 6mm. Good luck! Hopefully your fetus will grow larger by your next scan.
