maybe becos it's the last stop of my 6wks hols (went egypt/isreal/greece/turkey), so was tired and miss home liao. so cant wait to get out of Turkey! hahaha

surprisingly florence &amp; milan not so bad. Rome &amp; venice very rude. i went to a glass factory, the guy anyhow do a horse finish &amp; we going off, he ask us to give $ for his lousy performance. so terence patronize give some coins &amp; he dunno curse at us wat lolz. My fren also being con at a venice glass place. Keep pushing them to buy a glass piece at a super high cost... they cannot tahan and bought it haha.

mtdt, I went in 2003, the bellboy at the hotel was so stuck up when I asked for directions. Can't stand them. :p Mtdt, I bought too. I found it too exp, $100+ for a small little thing. Hubby didn't mind buying so I asked him to buy for himself only but he still bought one for me lor cos the shi fu said rabbit year very bad for me, not good year to start up new job/biz, not good year to commute/travel. Incidentally, when the accident happened, my pixiu was not with me cos i changed bags. Don't know whether it was a coincidence. :p

eatery worst lah, those touristy type one food sux sia, the beef steak so hard, my hubby cook better than them haha. The pizza at one inside lane is good, so never go touristy place restaurant, except in JAPAN haha. Florence more ulu u see, so less touristy, pple are more frenly.

Alot of time, tourist buy cos being psycho and no time to think.

my fren bought hers from TW at $4k-$6k!!! u say leh!

Apparently , my Sil bought hers from tw tat time , ard $100plus for a small one n gd luck came to her as she's trying to get preg for few yrs le.. N really after buying it, they strike...

Pixiu is somewhat like fengshui Thingy.. If u believe in it then it will bring u luck ...

Ms tan. long time din log in, just saw ur qn abt tw. I like the flora expo. It's very nice to stroll in the cold weather and enjoy the beautiful flowers. The place is very big and there's free shuttle bus to ferry u to the different theme garden. There's clean toilets everywhere and also baby changing room and nursing room. Worth to go.

I also like the hot spring. we book a room with personal bath at Wulai. It's one hr drive from Taipei. Most ppl go to bei tou but the hot spring water there has sulphur smell, so we choose wulai which is also less crowded and cleaner. My favourite activity in the whole trip. If u go to wulai, i like their 'tai mei zhu' dishes, esp the bamboo rice, u must try.

Night market is like a 'must go' in tw but i dun enjoy. Price not cheap and mostly made in china stuff. Plus now all selling winter wear so nothing much to buy. But nontheless still can at least go to one. Shilin will be a gd choice.

Wu fen pu is a total waste of time. Poor service and low quality clothes. It's more for wholesaler to go and buy in bulk. For consumer buying one or two items, they charge higher.

The airport at Tw has nice baby changing rm. And they provide free diapers as well. Greedy me took 2 pieces home and it's quite good. haha.
 
mtdt, shokel, wa, now that I know piqiu can be so exp. I still thought mine very exp liao, cos add up $300+, can get a KS bag or branded wallet. Me cheapskate lar. :p

Another reason why I didn't want hubby to spend so much on piqiu is because when we went to Shanghai, they also ask us to buy piqiu. We bought 3, one each for hubby, me and no. 1 but now the colours they recommended at TW are totally different from SH. So, I'm quite doubtful which shifu is accurate lor.

Dint get to go hot spring too in 07 when I went, this time also Nv as it's my Aunty visiting !!! Sianz!!

Wu fen pu , ya, I Nv go as it's wholesaler plc.. The last time I went also dint managed to get anything .. Not worth gg at all...
Ya, all night market must go.. I like Dan shui night market too.. XMD can find gd stuff if u really shop ...


Pauline : ya, diff pixiu rep diff meaning , I heard bad comments on it too... Tats y I quite reluctant to buy tt time when I went jiangnan ... But since there liao, might as well buy ...

Shokel, oh u missed the 2 places which i enjoyed the most. I like tw 'deng tai feng' their food so much nicer then the ones in sin. However, their local food over rated by the taiwanese tv shows. Not nice de...

so in the end did the pixiu bring u luck?

For Taipei, if u want to try a unique taiwan home cook food restaurant, do go to "Wu Jiao Chuan Pan" I never went before, my sis went twice and love it.

I also wish to go...before i seek for another job.

But the weather is so unpredictable. My hubby scare of Tsunami coming. Heard that a cyclone is coming to Aust after their floods too. Argh...I wonder if Thailand Koh Samui is ok mar...

mine was f&amp;e but there was a half day city tour. that was where we were trapped! :D

i just walked out of the place though but i think women are more susceptible to their sales talk.
