Hi Roxy,

I have been telling my son that meimei is inside my tummy. So he has been pointing to my tummy and saying Meimei, meimei hug hug.. haahaa!!

And keep pushing his toys to my tummy to let meimei play!

Sandy: Unless my child is sick, I guess. I have so much work to settle before my ML starts after next friday. Ok lah, frankly speaking, the workload here is well distributed so most of us don't mind working harder when we have to. Of course, doesn't help that I am the only local in the front line.

Jaundice:
bb born w/jaundice n bb hv jaundice after born 4 days? any diff?
full terms bb dun hv jaundice? (knowing 2 of my frez bb born at wk40 hv jaundice staright out from their womb)

any nb dun hv jaundice at all?

episiotomy:
2nd time natural delivery can avoid episiotomy?
(i heard 1 mummy had episiotomy for her 4 deliveries!)

any1 can share ur experiences

2. Babies Hiccup Before They're Born
Some unborn babies hiccup in utero, and it is perfectly normal. A pregnant woman feels it as a small spasm in her belly. Also, if your baby has hiccups during a prenatal exam, you can hear them with a Doppler heart tone machine. Some babies start to hiccup as early as the last part of your first trimester, although you may not notice the hiccups until your baby gets bigger. In order for your unborn baby to hiccup, he or she has to have a well-developed central nervous system. It doesn't hurt your unborn baby to hiccup, and some doctors even believe that baby hiccups in utero soothe the baby by relieving pressures on growing organs and lungs.

Hello mummies.. have not been posting actively but have been read all ur posts..

Yiqi.. jia you!! =)

Regarding cord blood, my hubby and I decided to donate the baby's cord blood to SCB. I signed the agreement already le.. Apparently if your baby's cord blood is not being used and in the event that you need it and that the transplant physician recommends the use of the baby's cord blood, SCB can return the cord blood to you. If the child's siblings were to need it, parents have to pay around $2.5k for the admin fees.

Regarding baby's weight, my baby is around 2.29kg at 34weeks. Baby's head is quite low than normal but not engaged yet. Gynae estimated that I will pop earlier.

Chantel : Ya bb hiccups like "heartbeat" like that, u can feel it continuously de. Hee very cute de wor.

I encountered many times liao le.

Augleo : I think most of the babies have jaundice after they are born, is just the level of it. I think doesnt depend on when they come out from mummy's womb. Try to eat papaya, carrot, ginger etc moderately as these will cause jaundice in babies.

Hi Augleo,
the tour is quite simple and short but was what i expected

Viewing the delivery suite, nursing room and wards. Very cosy environment and nice friendly staff that feel safe under their hand

mummyfel, you've got a lovely boy!

Happymummy, you can call the SCBB at 63945011 or leave your contact details at [email protected] and they will get back to you. They will conduct a 10-min phone interview with you. Afterwhich they will meet you at your convenience (for me its at my gynae's clinic at TMC) to run through the donation guidelines and agreement with you.

Some of you asked about contractions.. happens that I had contraction when I had my gynae visit this week. Gynae told me that the tummy will become very sharp, pointy or odd shape and the tummy will tighten very hard like a rock. So when you touch or poke your tummy, the skin or tummy will not bounce back.

Augleo- yeap, btw nowadays ESH provide menu for confinement food during our stay and they have massage service at dunno which level, the representative said is new service.

Shaine,
in yr07, they hv confinement food menu le + the massage.
massage svc needs to pay + that time i'm busy w/the lactation staff so didn't go for the massage.

mayb they hv upgraded the room or menu???

their confinement food is nice

Augleo- icic, haha not too sure because i heard about the confinement food menu + the massage too. If time permit, maybe i will try the massage :p.
Ya, the room is quite well do up, but the lobby is having minor renovation when i visit yesterday, hopefully by end of this nov when i deliver, everything will be done

Yiqi- i never try this before but happenend to found this link for confinement food, maybe you like to try http://www.confinementfood.com/confinement-food-package-pricing.html

mummyfel - ur kid is so cute lor.. ha!! so sweet to share toys.. =)

yiqi - not ordering but seems to be quite x wo..

augleo, jaundice is not due to bb maturity but rather compatibility of the parents blood... for eg if u are O blood type and hubby is A.. likely bb will have jaundice... jaundice is also caused by bb's liver not being fully developed yet... i had bad case of jaundice till bb turned 1 mth but PD told me as long as jaundice levels are ok once bb has passed 1 week old, its not life threatening anymore and no need to worry...

mummyfel, your son is so caring n already knows how to share at such a young age. Good leh.

hi genesis, i'm bery tired too. I haven't submit my leave yet. So busy with work these 2 weeks that i could hardly log in
sad.gif
N i'm popping at end of nov. No time le.

wah really ex leh..
$1480 for 28 days..

but my maid cooking cannot make it de..
my "angmo" mil say she no do confinement before and she herself also nv do confinement .

last 2 confinements we hired CL but now budget liao..
maybe sld google for recipe online print out n get maid to follow. make my own menu..

yiqi- yeap, actually their menu look quite simple to prepare so maybe you can try to print the recipe out and get the maid to do, save $$ and i believe more nutritious too cause we can add more ingredient hahaha..

Hi Roxy,

My boy can talk 2-3words in a sentence. But hor, when he see his cousin who is 4yrs old, he dont want to share toys with him...very bad temper and loves hitting people!

I just hope he will share and care for his little mei mei!

yiqi - ya..the package is employing a CL lor..
can la.. u can search other months MTB forum.. tink they have posted receipes too..

mummyfel: your boy so good
happy.gif
My girl hor, will sayang my tummy and kiss...and say "love didi". But when my mom told her things like this toy next time share with didi, she will say "NO! MINE!" ooooops!

calamari - ur girl oso beli funnie. Once didi is out and gal will sure take care of didi.. no worries.. my fren'z daughter oso like that..

later go MTB forum check it out.
tks!

as i get nearer to EDD, the time seems to move more slowly...
so wish its dec now.. so dun have to go back to work..

yiqi - mi too.. tink time reali veli slow now.. reali get wait.. i oso dun like to go back to work.. a lot of nasty things happen between mi and my boss.. and everyday juz dread coming to work..

Heehee... I think differently...

I feel that time passes so quickly!! So fast its Nov already..this Sat orchard road xmas light will be on..and it means...We are going to deliver soon!!! Arhhh......

Everyday I countdown to my EDD...im left with 53days!

These days my appetite is getting BIG! Horrible!!!

So fast, some mummies will be giving birth end of this month already!! So exciting! Will need to figure out how to use all those equipments like steriliser and pumps soon! Else later I dunno how to use!

GG,
i did not have much appetite actually.. maybe cos im not able to eat my fav sashimi so sad....

In fact i lost weight last mth, so scary. I think once i deliver i will put on weight from stuffing myself with sashimi, sushi, medium rare beef, etc...

i'm clearing AL from 23 Nov, if bb decides to pop out earlier then my leave may be forfeited coz need to clear by end of 2009. Thinking of taking them one week earlier, but till now have not experienced BH yet..
if take earlier, then may have to start ML earlier.. i dun wan to start ML so early leh... stay at home also sianz...boss like don't want me to take leave so early also. if can work from home, best!

Seems like many mummies are taking ML and Annual Leave now.. hmm, alot of my colleagues asking me when I plan to go on leave? I told them...no intention to until the last day I deliver!

My co. is still finding a temp replacement for my post..gosh! I hope they can find one soon...if not, I cant go on leave peacefully!!

okie ainsley. will add when i reach home. co. banned facebook, msn etc...
sad.gif

btw mummies, my hubby just called TMC. No extra charges unless b4 8am or after 8pm.

miumiu, im trying.. hehe

sandy, wah... then maybe cannot be neighbour liao..

today is rainy day.. im hoping the sun will come out. if nt my clothes not dried!!

augleo, i had to go thru episiotomy when i delivered both #1 & #2.
dunno can 'escape' for #3 or not?

but my mum said she had to go thru the 'snipping' for all the 4 of us...
so, guess slim chance for me to 'escape'...
sad.gif

my fren who didnt hve episiotomy when she delivered her #1 ended up with quite a bad tear.

so, mayb episiotomy is not so bad afterall, esp if the gynae's sewing skill is gd. ;p
