M seeing Joycelyn on 30 Apr. Yup, thats the earliest she avail too. Think she really has busy schedules...
Also my #1, but hubby not so anxiuos leh....he said dun go see doc so early..also cant see much...but i told him cos i hv spotting the other times, so need to see doc fast.. but then also dint manage to get early date for Joycelyn..

Hi ladies, I can't sleep last night. Had very bad case of stomach wind and backache. The wind just won't want to get out of my system even after eating 2 charcoals and drinking hot milo.
Going to doc later to check, wanted to put medicated oil but I scared. Anyone had the same problem?

Any mummies here using confinement nanny? I have not seen my gynae yet. Am thinking of wait till see gynae then book confinement nanny. Who knows my friend checked her confinement nanny for me and realised that she is booked until Jan 2010. Must act fast.
Nowadays been feeling quite sleepy. Can't even concentrate on my work. Sigh.

Andreanie, I had the same bloated and stomachache feeling, I put 'ru yi' oil. But I remember last time my gynae said if really need to can put a wee bit but best not to put.

I think ru yi oil is ok for pregnant women, i rem using it before but to be safe, pls check with gynae

lotsa superstitious stuff de.. eg no reno work in house, cannot move your bed, cannot use scissors on your bed, cannot go hospital or attend "bai shi" some pple dun even encourage u to go other bb full mth celebration... but its all up to you, certain things can exercise caution but more ridiculous ones maybe can ignore...

try clearblue.. its very accurate, once your hcg level is high enough, clearblue can detect. I tested +ve on the day af due for no 1 and this current one... good luck!!

actually haitong, if you have spotting,its good to see a gynae now. Actually from week 5 onwards, gestation sac can be seen, week 6 onwards, heartbeat can be seen.. hence its encouraged to see gynae for week6 onwards unless you have cramps/spotting/bleeding. If you have spotting, the doc can prescribe you duphaston to stabilise the pregnancy, proxynova to increase womb lining and even weekly prolution jabs to strengthen the pregnancy. Tell nurses that yours is an urgent case ie spotting and im sure they'll be able to slot you in

Mine is around lunch time. When is yours? Yup, she super busy...think usually her avail slots are at least 2-3 weeks later one. Will see if she is good...also a bit worry if each time need to see her will have to wait very long..

GG Lee, Haffa, mine appt is 23 April, next week. Waited 3-4 weeks for my appt. I'm also a bit worried that got to wait so long for her appt each time.

Haitong, aiyah lots of thing cannot do one. But depends if you want to be kuaikuai and do not. For me I selective follow only. Depending on what cos some of it may be true but just that they dun know how to explain in scientific terms. Eg, cannot change bed sheet. That was cos bed very heavy, nlater not careful get MC.
Tris, yeah if you want to get nanny must get fast hor. I just book mine also. Never do for 1st. Really suffer badly. Want to make sure I do it properly this confinement. But all these also depending to your own body one. Cos for some they dun do confinement they also up and well. Some for ppl like me that have problem later. But me is the weaker type lah. Haha.

Hi Lileen, thanks for encouragement, for mine L3 L4 and i suffered a relapse recently so now worry when my tummy get bigger..

did a v-scan and bb is at 0.99mm and its so exciting to see the heart beat..

Leen, I tried honey lemon today. Not bad but i realise I can't stand the smell of honey but lemon juice is too sour, my stomach cannot take it. Maybe must try adding less honey next time. You drink it hot or cold ah?
I already booked my CL. Funny thing is, she sms me early in the year telling me that she has very few assignments so I publicise on the different threads for her. Then she told me 1 week later that enough liao, she got assignment until Oct. Nov/Dec she want to keep for me. Then I told her I not so fast one lar, then true enough strike in Dec. She was so tickled when I sms to book her.
Min, ya I know, for teachers, can only claim $10 each time you see GP, really not enough lar.

Actually now i already start to hv bad backache already. Cannot stand too long. Pauline, u take which type of honey u take? I cannot stand the normal cheaper honey bought at supermarket. Smell horrible. Now i take new zealand manuka type. But some dun like new zealand taste too. Put lesser honey lah. I take warm. But if ur ms very bad, try to freeze as ice cube n suck when u want to throw. I may help.

Lileen, you said cannot change bed sheet cos of the heavy mattress....thats all rite, no other myths beside the weight of the mattress? Cos i scare le...usu such chore is done by me lo....think i hv to ask hub to do himself...

Hi nicnat and tub, we are similar. I am about 5 weeks preggy,tested last Sunday. n It is my first BB, so completely lost.I dare not to eat seafood n spicy food now.apart from swollen breast n slight unease belly,just feel so normal? are u all the same?sometimes I even forgot i am carrying a baby now.

me too, I like spicy food. but dont know whether ok or not leh.and one thing come to my mind, i went to see a gynae, n was advised to do the pregnancy check-up from 16weeks onwards. cant be earlier meh?as the 1st trimester is critical.so lost.

erm... spicy food ok la. just dun eat every meal should be ok. i took lotsa tomyam for my darling doter cos having slight ms.
i also dun feel anything yet. hehheh.
think bump will only show much later... prob near to end of 1st tri or early 2nd tri.
i dun have swollen breast or uneasiness. i suspected cos was pumping BM for my daughter and noticed this super dip in supply that never picked up. usually my ss will pick up near to AF dates but it just dipped and dipped so i tested.

hello all, im new here, 1st time pregnant, totally lost. i am only going for my 1st appointment 28 april with Dr wong. Am starting to worry who to take care of my baby in future -.-, i tink according to calculation on website, due date is 12/12/09. Eh am i suppose to fill up the xls?

Josephine, I heard from my confinement nanny is now about $1900 to $2000.
I'm also starting to worry who will take care of my 2nd one now
My mum and MIL are both working. So I don't think they can help me. My son is in a childcare.
Maid is risky and dunno can find nanny anot.

I didn't have a confinement nanny when I had my son. I look after him myself. My mum and MIL only cooks for me. This is cos they need to work. I regretted not engaging a confinement nanny to help then. Cos I have absolutely no experience in handling new born and only little bit of help from my mum & MIL. It was rather stressful.
So for this time round, I will defintely engage 1. At least can rest for the 1st month. But if you have someone to help like your mum or MIL, then it should be no problem.
