cayenne - mi started giving frozen ebm to bb for 2 weeks liao.. no rejection from him yet..

roxy - so little? mine eat so much wo.. haha.. tryin to increase milk ss man..
 
Shaine, will not volunteer to volunteer in case in march baby still a monster and last min i back out, but hemmie will still share the food if last min cant go ya. Tris will also sms u if cant give u a lift.

Ainsley, no i din eat my maggie mee... too full..., dinner mom brought porridge over also... today lunch, 2 gfs brought me bee hoon, egg tarts, onde onde, almond paste... enuff for tea too haha.

Dinner, another gf bring me food -.-

As for last nite, i 9pm feed finish, i went to my bed room off lights, on standing lamp. Wipe her face, wipe her hair, wipe her body, change diapers. By the time finish close to her 11pm feed, so i wait wait wait, 1030pm she hungry liao. I feed her 1030pm at 1130pm, then rock her to sleep for 6 mins.... then put her in cot. Woke up 1.45am, feed her, then woke up 630am!! (and its me that went to carry her cos she keep making noise), by then my breast is engorge...

So i manage to sleep quite good hrs last nite, but breast now is still engorge lolz.
 
Mummies, here some useful infor that huggies sent to me....Newborns sleep between 14 and 20 hours per day. This is made up of a series of little sleeps and snoozes that can last between 1 and 6 hours each.

In the first few weeks, the sleep periods are evenly spread out every 4 hours or so with no real distinction between night and day.

At 3 months, an average baby will sleep around 15 hours per day. Some babies will sleep through the night at this stage, and the rest still want a midnight snack.

By 6 months, most babies will sleep through the night. If you have a baby who doesn't, don't despair. There is good news. Sleep patterns become quite predictable and you may consider trying various settling techniques to get your baby into a routine.

By your baby's first birthday, she will sleep up to 13 hours at night with 1 or 2 daytime sleeps. The morning sleep will drop off soon after 12 months, so enjoy it while you can.
 
Anisley, sometimes my boy carry pat pat then ok sometimes will cry awhile first then ok. Like juz now he's very fussy, carry him still cry, offer him to drink he also push away then carry cry again, then finally I fed up push his head n let him latch on, finally he's quiet now

my tummy still has the plaster mark which was pasted over the tummy afer csect..
it's been more than 4 weeks liao, duno why haven disappear. duno isit bcoz i wrapped the binder too tightly.

Ainsley, forget to tell u, i dun have family support most of my life, be it now baby, and even when i started my career.. but im quite lucky to have many frens... very strange.
 
haha i now living at my mum's place at hougang, my in law at Sengkang, my new flat at punggol but only ready end of this yr... all not near hahahaha...

Genesis, sigh~ hope our bb will outgrow this stage. My bb had her feed at 12.15pm and been sleeping till now le..
 
genesis n ainsley, my bb will 'fake cry' if wanna sleep.. when it happens, i'll carry him and put pacifier. doze off almost immediately.

cayenne, why nt give your frozen ebm to ur sis?

i realise frozen ebm is very oily. why huh? initially i got a hard time washing. now i use detergent.

i just now latch my boy, then dunno isit my latching skills no good(the way i carry him), he spit out quite an amt of milk. aiyoh.. see liao dun really wanna latch le..

roxy, my boy weighs 4.7kg at 6 wk too. but his gain is only 1.4kg.

miumiu, the tauhuey used to be beside a coffeeshop right? move to another street le..
 
Jeanie, my gal also spits/vomit out a lot of milk even though she can suckle well. My GP said it's because for some babies, their food pipe connecting to the stomach is not mature yet so the milk will flow back out. Nothing to worry about if bb is gaining weight well. Try to burp gently and no big movements after feeding. Best is to carry him upright for 10-15 mins after feed.

Err... thought oily EBM is ok cos it's the fats that helps babies put on weight.

Ainsley, now she dun wanna sleep, since morning, she only doze off, put her down she cry liao. lolz, but like urs?
 
pauline, cuz he's like spiting out almost immediately after i delatch him to burp him. before i start to burp, he spits liao. twice today. but if i btl feed, he'll only spit out when he trying to gek his burp. yes. i always carry him upright. easier to burp and he feels more comfortable cuz he always falls asleep in this position while i burp him.
 
jeanie... ya... fake cry.. her cry like very "lady" type.. cry yet soft.. duno how to describe. haha.. But I never give her pacifier.. I just carry her and walk around till she sleep then put her down. My #1 also never use pacifier.. Training her not to depend on pacifier also.

Ivy, my bb is sleeping since her last feed at 12.15pm. I will wait for her to sleep deep then put her down.. But usually her sleep is not long one.. You try to carry/rock her longer 1st? Cos initially maybe active sleep which she will be awake easily.
 
shit man, the engorgement dunno how, this one big sia very hard to press... give up.. and baby now dun sleep, no time to try hot compress.
 
ainseley, i only give when in need. normally for a short while. like when he's making noise(wanting to sleep) or while waiting for milk to warm up. dun wanna let him cry too much. i scare colic.
 
Jeanie, I only carry her.. So ah, normally she will still cry for 5-10mins before settle down. But I hope she will get used to it soon..

ivy-i will filled up a bottle of warm water n massage my breast while pumping when i feel engorgement, maybe u can try?? it work for me :p
 
roxy: i think Ariel weight gain is good - 1.9kg in 6 weeks plus she is a girl, big size also not nice hahah. My boy is 4 weeks 3 days, now 5.3kg, weight gain = 1.8kg, drinks 130ml every 3 hours in the day and 4 hours in the night.

siri: cant wait for the medela stuff too!

Can also bring bb to Little Red Dot at Forum Galleria. Cheaper than Junior League and they give u a cert for bay's 1st haircut.
 
hi roxy, yr princess has a gd wt gain ar. My boy was 3.1kg at birth but only 4.8kg at 6 wks leh. Very lttle gain.

Ainsley, i tried carring my bb longer. But once i put him on my parent's bed, he wakes up. I think he misses his Yaolan(spring cot) in the noon. But at nite, he sleeps peacefully in his own cotbed. Hiaks....Fussy little guy...

Cayenne, my GP measured my bb's wt, ht, check his eye n hearing reflex oh.... n his balls too. kekeke.

Calamari, yr boi boi must be chubby. i find my boi too skinny le. Only put on wt on his face oni. Looks like a chipmunk now! kekeke

My bb was small at birth.. I wonder how much weight she has gained lor. Make me nervous.. lol... Hope she never waste my sleepless nights.
 
sharon... was pumping baby woke up, no choice, took from bed to rocker... use my toes to rock her haha. Hands massage, no time to take warm bottle.. maybe i try tonight when hubby come back.
 
jeanie, my boi is drinking 130ml too. 3hrs in day, 4-5hrs at nite. But sometimes he drinks as little as 80 to 90ml when he's really tired.
 
Ivy, I got lump on left side again. Just now pump at 1230pm, 1 side got 100ml, the other side only 55ml (after hand express some more). BB at MIL's house cos today the techinicians come to install air con so very dusty and noisy. Sian. :p
 
Calamari, alamak, so ex ah? I was expecting the worse for mine but end up Dec it's only estimated bill. $90+ minus govt $50 rebate so become $40+ only. hee. ;) But don't know if they will collect the difference if they do actual reading next month. :p

fat babe and einnoc, yup thankfully her weight gain is ok... and she's now 54cm, was only 51 cm at birth... she's much taller than her gor gor was than...



sharon n miumiu, i hope my princess is a milk monster too.. but she's not.. my no1 was even worse, when he was 1.5 - 3 mths, sometimes only drink 30ml n can last him for 2 - 3 hrs.. that was a bad period, i nearly worried myself sick why he's not drinking etc... thankfully he's now 19mths le, abit tiny for a boy but perfectly healthy.. so compared to ariel who drinks 60 - 120ml i have "fang de kai" le :p so now i have alot of excess ss frozen not so much cause ss is good but cause she drinks so little
 
ainsley, invest in a digital weighing scale than measure urself with and without baby, her weight is the difference pretty accurate... im using philips one and its very good only cost $45 at john little... ydae she drank 90ml and slept from 130 - 530 wake up drink then sleep till 10am hahaha i was so happy.. im like u also when she makes little noises i ignore her.. only carry her up when she wails for milk
 
Normally my bill is $320+/- but confinement month double man! I think its the aircon...faint. Somemore not including gas hor..i already change gas tank 3x from Dec to now.
 
einnoc, my boy will drink finish. sometimes i accidently pour 140ml he also finish.

calamari, ur bill is wow!! i also use alot of electricity n water this month. dun dare to see the bill..

pauline, my lump is right side. dunno why like cannot 'cure' it. everytime after i make it soft(massage real hard when pumping. norm takes one hr to clear.), by the time for my next pump, its hard again.. this is consider engorged? or block ducts? its only the upp half..
 
going bali tomorrow!! can't wait but will miss the 2 terrors... anticipate that sometimes might have to throw the expressed milk away.. heartpain.. praying hard that the trip dun reduce my ss cause wun be drinking water n pumping so often
 
jeanie, sometimes the lump may not be blocked ducts but could be your beast tissue... like u i have hard portion at the upper half massage until breast blue black also hard.. fed up i went to see LC.. she told me its not blocked ducts but its breast tissue faint, if its blocked ducts, u press on it hard, milk will spray out.. if it's tissue, nothing comes out.. so do differentiate if not u end up with blue black breasts like me
 
jeanie, thanks! i will pump but prob extend the hrs, maybe only pump once every 6 - 8 hrs oops.. i still have a bulging tummy.. no matter how hard i suck in the tummy still there n the line also still there.. haiz, gg look so ugly in bikini
 
roxy, erm.. breast tissue will harden? cuz when i press hard, got abit milk spray out. but takes time. gotta have patient and do it slowly. last night spend one hr doing it and it soften like left side.. so its consider block ducts? everytime like this, i waste alot of time pumping..
 
roxy, nvm la.. must have confident!! i also have a bulging tummy. when i sit and pump, my hubby say my tummy looks like nemo fish. cuz my fats and belly button forms a wide line.. so everytime he goes 'nemo nemo'. dunno how to slim down argh...
 
pauline, this is my 2nd time on right breast liao. 2 times on left breast, now right breast start again.. very pek chek sia.
 
jeanie, im not v sure abt that, how abt seeing a LC and check with her.. she only charged me $26 then.. must call to book... if no appt costs 10 more for walk in...
i'll suck my breath in very hard when i take pictures next few days hahahaha
