Honestly I can figure out how govt measures will help the pple. Yes pxs might come down as lack of buyers now.. But those really rich ones wld be happiest and buy more! But Te middle income ones are being squeeze... Those Trying to build a nest with a 2nd PPTY is a faraway dream. So stuck with Tat miserable bank interest of less than 1%!

MTDT, yup, govt every few months come out with new ruling to freeze property market. My hubby told me to ask for refund if possible. he said suan le, no point going into property now. :p

Hey Calamari, you only intending to start Noah next year July? Will that be half day or full day?
I am looking for start Samuel half day childcare this year October, if not next year Jan.
 
Hemmie: I intend to only start him in July next year (when he is 2.5 years old) for the 4 hour preschool/playgroup. Principal thinks he would be too young if we start him in Jan as he's a Dec kid (2 years 1 month in Jan).

weiting: if you buy from overseas sprees, its cheaper. But if you buy from local retail stores, u can find the brands in Mothercare, some dept stores like Metro has Pedipeds.
 
WT, pediped online and skr online i think got sales.

Kiddy palace got SKR smaller, for prewalker. Mothercare got pediped and SKR.

Hubby last night bought the Scotts Emulsion Cod Liver Oil. The package says 1 year old can take 15ml of it each day.

Can I check if anyone of you have given the Scotts Emulsion cod Liver Oil to your babies before?

Actually talking abt pri school ... I tot abt enrol cadet to tao nan in mp.. But hb say over there Alot of rich kids.. Afraid Caden will demand this n dat... But then... Sorry to ask.. Is any working mummy here tot abt how to go through this schooling phase? Everyday fetch the kids to caretaker hse or hired a maid to look after the kids while we work?
 
I mean my mum is looking after Caden now... But she live mp while I'm Tamp ... The distance aldy toil my precious zzz.. But. Then again I'm nt a maid pp n again if one day my mum no longer taking care of him... Will she develop Liao Ren chi dai zen? Any mummies here facing same pro as me?

I will be enrolling my #3.. that is bb this year.. for a 2hr playgroup next year.. to adapt to the environment and intereact with other kids.. hm.. for me.. I try not to stress my kids so much.. hehe..
 
Sarah: why don't try enrolling caden in a school near your mom's place? Easier for him to commute as shorter distance. Not so tiring for him. Keeps Ur mom bz as well.

So many many articles on papers, mags about preschooling this month. Must be stressful for parents. Guess it's a choice of whether to follow the race. Most importantly, find out what the school does for the child. My girl so far enjoys her preschool vm as the learning is through play. Might not mean stress on the kid at all. After all, they absorb the most in the first 5 years. And I can't imagine leaving her at home for 24 hours a day without learning proper from a system or interacting.

Calamari, I'm just putting my no. 1 in midrange CC, half day prog just started in mid Dec. Not following the race with the super popular schools but can't afford to ignore it totally either. Can that be considered taking the middle path? :p
 
Actually am sure mid range cc r gd too. Most impt is the passion of the trs I feel.

My 1st choice was not pats ( due to the fees) but my 1st choice closed Down as leased is up! And I wants somewhere nearby.. Thus went to Pats. Till now my hubby still nag when he sees the nvoice everymth! Haha

Sorry to say that.. looking at the way parents are.. being so kiasu.. indirectly pressure is on the kids.. I just hope that I won't be one.. hehe

Cala, thks. The staff in popular told me that this Preschool mag very hot and always OOS. So i'll have to wait till they restock.

Incase any mummies interested in getting mag with info abt preschool.. "Mothehood Guide To Childcare" is also one of them.

Shay has been walking on her own for the past 1wk.. Now she doesnt wanna sit in her stroller and will scream till i let her down to walk. So difficult to bring her out alone.

Sandy: no need stress. Preschools are not meant to stress any kids, just that some schools need to q lor, which translates to ks for parents n not stress for child

Ling Lee - ^5... same same! no2 like lack alot of 'exposure' compared to his bro... but i tell myself, the bro's loves/playtime etc is already the best "enrichment" in the world! (of cos tats also means he learns the best and worst from his bro! hahaha)

Now I actually will educate my no1... he has to be gd and be a example for didi to learn from! when no1 nottie etc, i wld ask him - do u like didi to do tat to u next time? he will learn from u etc etc. :p stress him to be gd! hahaha

i read some parenting books before. we really shd focus on the elder kid. The elder kid will set the path for the rest to follow generally. think some truth in it...like last time my elder sis starts to go cheong, i also follow! hahaha
 
BB_Shae, same here....my girl also dun want to sit stroller or high chair...the moment we let her down to walk .... she is beyond ccontrol, dun want to be carried till I have to remove her shoes and said to her 'no shoes shoes, cannot come down to walk'.....

Always thought too early.
Me juz started to look ard for CC (mid-range) to put my bb ard mid-end of this yr &amp; already a few had told me full until 2012......;s

Hv not thought abt K1/K2/primary school yet &amp; everyone already talking abt it liao......;p

Btw, juz finding out since our bb already 1 yr :

- what time yr bb sleep now ?
- what time last milk feed ?
- do u brush their teeth after their milk feed then let them sleep ?
- do yr bb sleep thruout the nite ?
- do they still drink milk after last milk feed ?
- what time they wake up in the morn ?


My bb avg sleep ard 9+ to 10pm on wkdays (excl wkends) &amp; her last milk feed ard 8.30-9+pm (avg ard 210ml but sometimes can be up to 250-280ml).
She hv 4 teeth so dunno if shld brush now or later when she hv more ?
Once a while after last milk feed she will sleep liao so difficult to make her brush teeth leh.

But I still find if she drink ard 8.30-9pm, we will still need to dreamfeed her (90-120ml) so as to prevent her waking up ard 2am to drink leh.
Dunno how leh to cut that dreamfeed or make the last milk feed (8.30-9pm) as last feed ?

Oh yes, she will wake up ard 7-7.30am in the morn (latest by 8am).

Any comments mummies ?

- last feed ard 8.45pm
- brush teeth after lunch, yet to let him do it after milk. worry he might puke.
- most of the time
- won't feed YK even he fuss at night
- usually between 7am to 7.30am

glad that shay likes to walk. recently YK refuses to walk w/footwares. he will place both hands on the ground n look at me, pick up debris and pass to me :{
i realise that if he prefers to walk/explore when he is in the playground
