Singapore Zoo’s Rainforest Lumina Allows You to Saunter Through a New Illuminated Night Walk
Celebrate the Singapore Zoo’s 45th birthday by visiting the brand-new Rainforest Lumina – an illuminated multimedia night walk that sheds light on an enchanted world.
We love the Night Safari at our Singapore Zoo, but now there’s another reason to venture into the dark at our favourite Mandai attraction. It’s a magical wonderland of multimedia illumination called Rainforest Lumina, specially created to celebrate the Zoo’ 45th birthday! Get those cameras (and phones) ready and prepare to awaken your senses as you wander through this new 1km stretch.
In 11 different zones, you’ll experience an whimsical wonderland of lights, and embark on an adventure with the Creature Crew, a group of unlikely heroes who’ll take you along the paths of their enchanted world. You’ll also get to encounter interactive and mesmerising installations as you learn about wildlife, and uncover a side of the Singapore Zoo that you’ve never seen before. Come on in…

Walk The Trail
You won’t get to meet the animals along this 1km trail at Rainforest Lumina — go to the Night Safari for that! — but you won’t need them for this illuminating and mesmerising experience is a FEAST for the senses. With 11 zones ranging from the Treetops to Light Huts and a Lantern Passage, there’s lots to see and experience! Buffer extra time to dawdle if you’re a dedicated photographer or Instagrammer. You’ll be ‘gramming the cool lights and effects over and over again for that perfect IG story or movie. The young ones, we noticed, were more focused. They came, their tried, they moved on to the next one.

Visit the 4 Interactive Zones
The 11 zones are housed in four major interactive zones that’ll bring out your inner child. Sing like an Animal demonstrates how the Earth plays music – but you’ll need to listen closely! Create magic together with your little ones by using whispers and songs to draw the Creature Crew out from the jungle!
The Call of the Wild wows with a stunning visual experience. Learn how the Creature Crew bands together in times of adversity to overcome challenges and protect the jungle – just like family. Play like an Animal is a kid favourite, too. Embrace your mischievous and playful side and join in the fun with the kids!
A word of caution, however, is to keep a tight grip on your little ones throughout the trail. It’s darker than expected, and younger ones may be afraid of the fog and tribal music.
Last but not least, Wall of Fame captures the essence of the Creature Crew’s motto: “We are One”. Bring home a photo memory with your favourite Creature Crew friend at the end of your experience.
