Pororo Park is now in Singapore! (Review)

Pororo Park Singapore opens this Wednesday, on 11 November 2015, at #02-29 Marina Square! Here’s what you and the kids can expect to see, do, and play with there.

Conveniently located in the heart of the city at Marina Square’s new retail wing, little fans of Pororo can delight in the 11,000 sq ft indoor edu-tainment playground that integrates a train ride, indoor playground attractions, educational classes and entertaining shows under one roof.

First stop, hop on board the Pororo Express.

It’s such a hit with all the kids, my little one Josh decided to give it a go all by himself! (Don’t worry, he was all buckled up and safe.)

Next stop – Pororo House. Come and see where Pororo lives!

Don’t be fooled by its cosy size. There’s even an attached bathroom in the little ice house.

And of course, the Pororo Park playground would be incomplete without the Shark Ball Pool…

which as you can see, is HUGE. Josh loved chilling out here.

Next up is Poby’s Jungle Gym.

Now this jungle gym set-up is quite interesting. From the outside it looks pretty neat and compact. Half the time, I was expecting my kids to pop out from somewhere pretty quickly after entering. Except… they didn’t. They just kept wandering round and round, up and down, and I think at one point my older son JJ (who’s four years old) was in there for a good 15 minutes. I could see him appearing at one window or crawling through a tunnel, and I could tell that he felt comfortable in there. To me, this simple jungle gym’s ability to keep a young child comfortably occupied for this stretch of time is pretty amazing!

The youngest ones are not left out. Check out this baby corner that’s padded and decked out with a kitchen set, and small tents with (more) balls inside.

Tired? Take a seat at Tong Tong’s Little Theatre, where kids can look forward to mini parades, meet-and-greet sessions, and sing-along shows featuring Pororo and his motley crew of friends. Additional shows will be scheduled on weekends to cater to the crowd so don’t worry if you’ve missed one!

Other Facilities:

There are shoe racks and bag cupboards, as well as space for strollers and prams near the entrance of the Park. (see if you can spot the strollers in the second picture above) There are also children’s restrooms and a nursing room within the part itself.

Rody’s Toy Store, a Pororo retail store, sits neatly at the exit, and you’ll have to pass through the store in order to leave the playground. It’s filled with cute Pororo memorabilia and you can be sure those little hands will be itching to grab, buy, and take home something cute from here.

I would say that Pororo Park Singapore has been designed with little kids in mind. The play spaces have thoughtfully planned for young ones. But appropriate facilities have been crafted for parents too.

Mums and dads will definitely appreciate the café that’s conveniently located at the entrance of the Park. The 60-seater Loopy’s Café offers mains and desserts for both adults and kids. The café also provides free wi-fi.

There’s also a very bright and spacious party room. Aside from hosting character-themed birthday parties, educational classes will also be held regularly to provide a holistic edu-tainment environment. Story-telling classes conducted by MindChamps will also be held every Sunday from November 2015 to January 2016.
