Jade Lee, 37, gave birth to her daughter at KKH in September 2021
“I chose KKH as it is the leading women’s and children’s hospital in Singapore, has a well-maintained infrastructure, and experienced medical staff. Also, good feedback from friends about their delivery experiences in KKH encouraged us to have our baby here.
We had a great experience with our gynaecologist, Dr Lily Kho, and her assistant, Mary. The medical staff (doctors and nurses) in the delivery suite were very helpful, making sure the whole process was smooth. Dr Kho is encouraging, and reassuring. She explains things patiently, and is very detail-oriented. I was a worried first-time mum, but Dr Kho never failed to cheer us up during each check-up. In fact, every session was full of laughter!
I also appreciated the hospital’s systematic processes and clear instructions. Registration and payment can be done through a self-help kiosk, and doctor visits and medicine collection were smooth-sailing as well. All these made my KKH experience enjoyable.”

Which maternity hospital package to choose?

The maternity hospital package that you choose depends on several factors. Consider the following:
- Does your obgyn deliver there?
- Location: is it close to your home in case you need to get there in a hurry?
- Is it easily accessible, with ample parking?
- Are there facilities for high-risk pregnancies and births?
- Is breastfeeding supported?
- Does it offer the option for a water birth (if you are planning to have one)?
- Are doulas welcome (if you plan to have one)?
- Can you take photos and videos of your baby’s birth?
Ultimately, it should be the one where you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to give your little one the best start in life. Here’s to a smooth pregnancy, and delivery for you and your little one!
