Hospital Maternity Package 2025: How Much Does it Cost to Give Birth in Singapore?

Expecting a little one this year of the wood snake? Congratulations! Two of your top considerations are probably (i) where to give birth, and (ii) how much it will cost. When finding the right hospital maternity package for their upcoming delivery, many mums-to-be turn to friends and family for recommendations.
“My friend strongly recommended her obgyn and I liked how the doctor was very up to date in terms of medical advances,” said Ginny, a mum of two. Similarly for Felicia, also a mum of three, where her obgyn practised was the deciding factor. “I chose my doctor first, and then just went to the hospital that he was attached to.”

For others, location could be something to think about. “I had a C-section so it wasn’t as if I had to rush to the hospital once contractions start, but I still wanted a convenient location that would be easy to get to,” shared mum of three Isabel.
One crucial factor is how much it costs to give birth. Do note that while the delivery costs indicated here are accurate at the time of publishing, they are not all-inclusive. For a more precise projection of your actual delivery cost, you will also need to include:
- Obgyn fees
- Paediatrician fees
- Neonatal related charges
- Incidentals, items, and procedures that are not included in the delivery package

Hospital maternity package 2025: which should you choose?

At the end of the day, choosing where to give birth to your baby depends on several factors. Consider the following:
- Does your obgyn deliver there?
- Location: is it close to your home in case you need to get there in a hurry?
- Is it easily accessible, with ample parking?
- Are there facilities for high-risk pregnancies and births?
- Is breastfeeding supported?
- Does it offer the option for a water birth (if you are planning to have one)?
- Are doulas welcome (if you plan to have one)?
- Can you take photos and videos of your baby’s birth?
Ultimately, the one that you select should let you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to have the kind of birthing experience you wish, and give your little one the best start in life. We hope this list of hospital maternity packages in Singapore helps. Here’s to a smooth pregnancy, and delivery for you and your baby!
