what does your obstetrician talk about?

I'm so curious, what do your obstetricians talk to you about when you meet them? I'm a type 1 diabetic and all they talk about is diabetes.
i'm at KKH so everytime i go, it's a different obstetrician and the first 5 mins is always spent on the same questions (even though they can see the records in the computer):
1. when did you start being a T1D
2. how did you know you had T1D
3. what were your symptoms?
4. what are your medication
5. what are your sugar levels
6. nag about what high sugar will do to the baby

7. prescribe vitamins
8. bye bye

You should see only one obstetrician so you can avoid always having to discuss your medical history, or do tests, or have to take the time to know the doctor. My obstetrician for both pregnancies was Dr Jen Shek Wei (also gynae). Since we already knew each other, each appointment is quicker and more thorough. We also chat about our usual lives like work and family, etc. but most of the time is spent on basic monitoring of health, tests (if necessary), review of meds and test results, and that's it. I also got his number so whenever I had questions I can call him.
