Refusing home made food

Dear mothers, my bb is 9 month old and he prefers ready made food like rice cereal with chicken or milk cereal. I tried to make some home made food like fish/chicken porridge, porridge with carrot and pumpkin etc but he doesn't seem to like it. He even throw out after feeding. Any suggestions?

Somehow my earlier post went missing.

Try feeding the different food separately eg cereal, fish, spinach and cycle thru. That worked for my dd. Realised that she didn't like her food mixed. Also try to match the texture n consistency to that of the ready made food. Dd preferred her food more watery. As she grew, she was happier when her dood had more texture for her to chew. Some organic cereals are delicious and my dd likes most of them but has her favourites. She likes Holle's Millet, Healty Time's Barley, Organix's 4 Grain cereal. My helper steams n purees the organic fruit/veg, then freezes them. Organic food are tastier and my dd enjoys them.
