No not yet. Not so soon, I guess. Still havent attend the talk yet *rolleyes. Tomorow is my appointment. See what the doctor wants me to do next.
 
Hey all,

I’m suffering quite a bit from nor-e side effects. Mainly tired and sleeplessness. Can I call and ask to reduce dosage? Or endure finish it better? Halfway through.

Yes, you can call and ask but sleepiness is not a side effect you should be alarmed:)

Hi Dear,

Went for my checkup on Friday and the specialist for Thyroid said I have Hypothyroidism. Normal range for T4 is 10 but mine is 9.8.. the first time I took the test was 9.4.. What irritates me was the specialist said that whether to just leave it or to take medication.. He said it might effect the baby in the future is my level is low. So I suggested to the specialist that he prescribe me medicine so that my T4 will be on the normal range rather than just to wait and see.. anyone seen a specialist for Thyroid at KKH name Mr Winston Kon?

And also, I have another appointment tomorrow at the reproductive clinic. Tomorrow then I will know if my husband's swimmers are ok or not.. I hope so..

Latest update. Went for my appointment last Friday and doctor showed me the result for my HSG and my husband's swimmer. Basically, everything was good and even my husband's swimmers were quite strong. Doc ask me whether I want to conceive naturally of go through IUI straight because there is nothing wrong with me except for my irregular menses. She suggested that I try Letrozole 2.5mg to stimulate my ovulate for 3 month. I follow what the doctor suggested and will work very hard for this 3 months :) ..

Anyone with Dr Neha at KKH before?

Hi. New here. Currently on subsidized scheme (took referral from polyclinic) and seeking consultation at KKH. No fixed doctor. Im confused. Should i change to NUH or shld i stay in kkh but fix to see a same doctor? Hw does the chrges differ?

Hi Hopefulgirl,
I am seeing Dr Shakina as a private patient. I think she is quite a caring and gentle doc. I just failed my first FET in Jun, however she showed empathy n concerns over it. I was quite touched by her caring acts.

I think she is also a cautious doc who weigh and tell u all the pros n cons with the different options. For my case, I had mild ohss after ER, n she recommended me to rest n go for FET instead.

But I realised that if my consultation falls on the day when she is on duty to see subsidised patients, the consultation session seem to b more rush. Generally, the q time is <30min, or even as short as 5 to 10min at times.

Today I have went to see Prof Wong at NUH for my 3rd cycle ivf, he suggested this PGS?
Have anyone of u go through or heard PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening) before?
I'm now totally in a lost, was told to go back n think about it. N the price for this PGS made me wonder should I give it a try or not.o_O

Is nor e oral tablets madatory for nuh ivf icsi cycles?

Apr was my first consultation and stims was in July. I’m sure it can be faster than that though

Thanks for your reply. Thats pretty long, is it due to nor e needs to take monthd before e actual? How many days is needed to take nor e and at day ? Of the cycle..

Oh yah I took the nore in end June I think. Maybe about 2 weeks. All it does is delay ur next bleed. They’ll tell u when to stop and stims will start a while after that. Also my stim started later because I was waiting for PGD kit. So maybe u can cut estimates by a month. Or if you’re doing more fertility tests that’ll delay things too.

Thanks astiva. Is there any complusory test or scan to be conducted at nuh prior to ivf? Like saline sis scan etc..

I think it really depends on whether doctor finds anything in scans. For me, nothing

I'm planning to do IVF in NUH too. But yet to go for the counselling as i am still considering. May i just ask how long does the process take? and how much does it cost you?

I had endoscratch on Monday, n had spotting n cramps that day. Tues was almost like no more spotting. But spotting came back on Wed, n getting more n more. N now is already Saturday. I felt as though like menses is coming soon. But I m on mercilon for 2 cycles, not supposed to have menses yet. Called Nuh CHR, they told me not to worry, is OK to have mild bleeding/spotting. Anyone experienced that too?
Kinda worried, as I read most ppl only had spotting for 2 to 3 days.

Hi. I did my IVF in 2017. The 1st one failed. The injections and meds are not that scary. No reaction to me. But what I can said is that, learnt to relax, don't think too much and eat healthy. When i failed the 1st time round, my colleague who did ivf advise me to let my body rest 6 months before trying again. Don't rush. Be positive. Rest well.

Now my girl is 2 yo. I waited 12 years.

Hi, would like to check if anyone under dr chew who has done the endo scratch before, do we have to take painkillers before the procedure? I took when i did ivf in private clinic last time but nuh did not ask me to for my upcoming scratch.
 
May I ask, for nuh appointments. (Private or subsidise route) Example, the routine vaginal scans are they done by a radiographer or the Dr herself/himself?

But I received a call from the clinic this afternoon saying that in light of the coronavirus, the hospital will stop all egg retrieval and transfers if the situation worsens, and that will be done in short notice. That may mean all the injections will go to waste should we choose to carry on and the procedures have to stop. Anyone here facing the same situation?

how does the both correlate...IVF and coronavirus
 
I am going for my first appointment with them tomorrow, so far didn't receive any calls. Will update with more information tomorrow but hopefully we can still go thru the process..
 
I went for endo scratch yday morn and transfer scheduled for end feb (need to start on progynova early feb).. hrmm they didnt mention anything when i was there..
 


Hi Ladies, had my first appointment today at nuh with Dr Stephen Chew. We were with kkh ivf center for our first so iui cycle and decided to switch to nuh for a shorter waiting time for ivf. Overall experience was pleasant, shorter waiting time for consultation and blood tests results. We didn't had to repeat any of the tests we did at kkh (all cleared) but did a tsh blood test today and unfortunately the results are not ideal, reading is kinda high and I'm going back tomorrow for another blood test. Was kinda sad knowing this because we cleared all tests and thought all was good for ivf but seems like this will cause some delays? Is it true we cant proceed with ivf if i have thyroid issues? Any ladies here proceeded with ivf with thyroid issues? I'm turning 36 this year and really wanted to start the cycle soon. :(
