How many to get? Help!

Hi mummies,

I was wondering how many newborn-sized outfits should I get? I know they outgrow their clothes very fast. Would it be better to buy 0-3 months clothings instead? But that would be too big for a newborn?

It depends on your preference too. Some people like to dress their babies in loose clothes as it is easy to change them. Some parents like to see their babies in fitting clothes. Nowadays newborns are mostly big sized, over 3kgs, so may not fit in newborn sizes. I got 6 to 12 months sizes for my kids depending on the cutting of the clothes too

Thank you for your reply! True.. I was at baby fair recently and chanced upon Carters onesies. Seller said the 9 months ones actually can fit a 3 month old baby.. The sizing was pretty small. Am planning to buy some clothes online, and I don't know if the cutting is small or big. :(

You could probably get newborn clothes from friends and buy one to three new pieces for your baby and see how from there. My baby can't wear nb clothes after 3 weeks

Authentic Carters sizing are actually quite okay not too small, true to size.
My lo whose weight is around 80 percentile fit well into carters, like into 6-9mths clothing when she is 6-9mth.
