During 9 months your baby is used to various solid foods and the little one becomes a baby on the go. So it is important to include a variety of foods with different flavors and texture. Try to introduce with thinly sliced and chopped fruit or vegetable in their diet. You can offer some family foods at this stage, but remember they are not yet ready for it. And you may add a bit of spice like black pepper, cinnamon powder, and thyme in their meal and remember not to include more.
During this time your baby may try to stand, feed on his own, and respond to familiar words. At this stage, the baby needs more nutrients and vitamins for healthy weight gain and proper brain development. So feed them with fruits, vegetables, lentils, and grains which are rich in calcium, iron, and vitamins. The fruits and vegetables which are to be included in the babies diet during this stage are
Fruits: Apple, Avocado, Banana, Papaya, chikku, peaches, mangoes, melons, grape, dates, and pears.
Vegetables: Carrot, broccoli, sweet potato, green peas, pumpkin, beetroot, squash, bell peppers, and coconut. They can be either thinly sliced or small chunks, or even in the purred form.
Lentils/ Grains: Ragi, rice, quinoa, urad dal, moong dal, and chickpeas, etc. These lentils and grains can be powdered and mixed with either fruit or vegetable purees for a baby's healthy meal.
