Has anyone undergone liposuction?

I am 26 years old. My height is 160 cm and weight is 70 kg. My belly hangs too much so I likely to reduce the fat. For the last 3 months, I am doing a proper diet and exercise, but there is no change to my belly. My colleague told me that her sister has done liposuction to reduce belly fat, and she recommended this cosmetic surgeon in Mississauga. I don't know how much fat liposuction can remove. Has anyone undergone this before? How was the experience? Please share your views.

I recently underwent liposuction in Singapore on a private day surgery clinic. Today is my Day 4, and I am still trying to recover. Don't be surprised by my pictures.

I did it with Dr Shenthilkumar at Shens Clinic in Winsland house. I worked so hard for my abs, diet, and exercising won't get rid of my belly fat. But this procedure suck out every ounce of it. I have visited 3 plastic surgeons, and I think Dr Shen so far has the best liposuction equipment and results/photos. I have met Dr Ivan Phua from Amaris B but then I realized he is just a General Practitioner and not a proper plastic surgeon in specialisation. The risks were much higher after I read the case on a death of a liposuction patient performed by non-specialists.
Read this:
1) Dr Wong Meng Hang>GP doctor, over sedation and did not monitor patient
https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/liposuction-death-doctor-barred-practising-medicine-another-suspended-18-months

2) Dr Edward Foo > General Surgeon, uses sedation himself without proper anesthetist and too late to respond to patient's needs. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/courts-crime/second-liposuction-death-was-misadventure-state-coroner-rules

The cost might be slightly lower with these untrained doctors but the stake is extremely high.

I have gone to Korea and consult BK surgery. But i realized that there are many syndicates group pushing Singaporeans or rather the locals here to Korea to do surgery. The chances of botches cases and follow up is so complicated. Imagine you have a tube immediately after liposuction, and you have to wear them for a few days. It is uncomfortable in a foreign land even though you are staying in a five stars hotel. Nothing beats recovery liposuction at home. I didn't pay any deposit in the end.

More so, if you have botch cases overseas, and you asked the local doctors to help, the local doctors likely do not want to touch a 'problematic' situation. The additional expenses and so on... It is just so not worth doing overseas. Then you have to apply for leave again only to fly back Korea. No joke. Say no to liposuction abroad. #nolipooverseas

I love my results and if you like to see more angles, feel free to buzz me.

Hi Janz,

I saw your posting. May I know how much did you pay for the procedure? How are you feeling now and do you have a side view of your pictures? I have always wanted to do this but so afraid of the downtime. I am a pilates instructor.

I paid about $14K SGD for the front and back lipo. The results are good. I was already doing squats on my Day 3 and by day 5 i have my lipo drainage bag removed. I could run by day 14.

Hi Jan, I was quoted $1588 per area by Dr Shen. Can I check how many areas have u done? Cuz if it's only 4 areas (2 front 2 back) then I prolly have to work on my budget again

Came across this forum coz I'm also considering lipo and wanting tips on where to get it done and what to expect. I previously consulted with Dr Colin Tham and he recommended VASER liposuction. Anyone tried this before?
