Hi anyone who was with or currently with Dr. Cindy Pang @ Mt E Novena? Can share your experiences? Can pm me too. Thanks!

Wondering about this too..I try to look up but can't find much info about her

To be honest, Dr Cindy Pang is an extremely lowkey, underrated gynae. I delivered in 2016 and till date am extremely thankful for the help and kindness extended to me throughout my pregnancy. Every visit was always filled with so much empathy and kindness, so much I always tell my friends how much I enjoyed each visit. Be it the kindness extended by Genesis at the beginning of each session, or the effort Dr Cindy Pang make to know you better; each visit always felt so personal and I always left the clinic feeling a little more confident. Bonus point would also be that the clinic will send you video clips of your baby movement during your check up, all included in the package. To us it was a huge bonus cause till date we have clips of our baby sucking his thumb or moving in my tummy. (‘:

Delivery wise, I ended up having to opt for C-section delivery. Dr Cindy Pang was non pushy and very logical when laying out all the options during our pregnancy. I like how she makes sure we are well-informed in all aspect before we make our decisions. On the day of the delivery she was also like a gust of sunshine and calmly assured me throughout my delivery. I have to also point out that I was extremely afraid, but the anesthetist together with Genesis and Dr Cindy were very comforting and literally held my hand and comforted me throughout my delivery.

Post-delivery, my scar healed up so well there is nothing but a extremely thin faint line to mark my pregnancy. Also whenever I visited the clinic for my post delivery check up, they were so helpful and generous with their experience. I think what shocked me the most was when they asked me to call the clinic anytime I had trouble dealing with adjusting with being a new mom and or needed answers quick. It has been 2 years since I popped and I actually look forward to doing my pap smears with them.

Also after delivering did I realise that Dr Cindy Pang had a great interest and is much more reknowed in ovarian and cervical cancer, so thus the low profile when it comes to delivering babies.

A few friends whom I recommended all came back with high praise for Dr Cindy pang. A friend whom looked for another doctor but was “transferred” to Dr Cindy Pang as her doctor was travelling a few weeks before her delivery date also came back with high praise and regret they didn’t find her.

I am not one to write reviews online, but happen to chance on this thread and had to share about my experience with Dr Cindy Pang.

*I went for a pap smear recently and brought a friend with me. She always thought I was exaggerating about my experience, especially when I will always tell them how visiting the clinic was one of the best things in my pregnancy. When she left, she kept nodding and agreeing saying she understood why. :)

Goodluck in your search for a suitable gynae! :)

i just chance upon this post and couldn’t agree more. Had the most pleasant and enjoyable experience with Dr Cindy Pang for my first two there is no doubt I would stick with her and no one else for my #3. She is underrated and I am thankful for that. Her clinic has gotten more crowded over the years I fear it’s only a matter of time her popularity becomes an unhidden gem. Dr Cindy is like a ray of sunshine and she never fails to put you in a happy spirit even when you’re not. I enjoyed every gynae visit as she is ever so bubbly, kind, friendly and will not hesitate to share baby updates in the most informative and assuring manner. She is non pushy , respect your birth plan and is there to support whatever doubts or emergency interventions needed.

Hello mademoiselle!!

I'm still in my first tri but keen to switch to Dr Cindy once I'm in my second tri. Did you deliver with her recently? Can you PM her price as well as your hospital charges if it's convenient.

Thanks a lot!!!

Hello,

I was with her for my first and second pregnancy all through delivery in 2017 and 2019. Am expecting #3 (also in t1 here so congrats to you!) and will be sticking around with her. She has a package you can sign up from week 16. I can no longer remember the price, mummy brain. But the package is definitely worth it as it brings each visit to an average of $100 plus. The ala carte visits are $200-300. She practice at mt e but also delivers at tmc and mt a. She’s a lovely gynae, it’s a good choice to switch! :)

Congrats on your #3! When's your edd? Mine is in Nov! It's my first so I'll love to have a friendly and fun doctor! Was her stitching good? Did you go with natural or C sect? Also, where did you deliver at? ☺

Hope you don't mind my questions!

Hello all,

Would like to hear the update regarding Dr Cindy Pang for her waiting time, if cost package still avail and her experience. Many tksss

I just delivered in Nov with her. Experience is awesome, I would definitely go back to her again if I have #2.

She is friendly, patient and assuring. Her nurses are very nice too.

If I recall correctly her package from week 16 onwards is $1.2k for 10 visits inclusive of scans. Blood tests all that is additional cost.

Waiting time is acceptable as long as you go during your scheduled appt time. Sometimes have to wait 15-30 mins but usually quite fast. Unless you're very late for your appt then it's a no-brainer that you have to let the other patients go first.

To all who read reviews, kindly take it with a pinch of salt. Dr Cindy Pang is not as wonderful as what some mummies described. Granted, when things go smoothly and well, ppl are praised to the skies. I too visited Dr Pang after reading wonderful reviews about her and she was my gynaecologist. However, the experience wasn’t gd at all. I developed swollen feet around my 25th week of pregnancy and has erratic blood pressure. However, I wasn’t put on any blood pressure medication to stabilise the blood pressure. Without suspecting much, she said it’s normal to have swollen feet for pregnancy but perhaps not so early. I was send home to monitor and was advised
to massage my feet. After a week or so my feet is still swollen so I went to a gp for advice as a last resort as my feet is uncomfortable and swollen and the gynae just didn’t do anything about it. He did a urine test as he suspected me of having a condition called pre eclampsia. My urine test turn out to have high protein content. The doc informed me to contact my gynae immediately which I did. At the gynae clinic I remember she said ‘ let see what test the gynae is doing’ in a mocking tone, like looking down on GPS because they are not specialists like her. After reading the test report she asked me to do a similar blood test to test for pre eclampsia and also ask me to go home and monitor as there is nothing she can do about the swelling though I did asked if there is any medicine or cream for it. Her asst called up later to say the test results are interpreted as ok and to continue monitor the swelling. Towards the end of the week when I realised my face is starting to get swollen, I called up the clinic and her clinic assistant asked me to come to her clinic immediately. The scan at her clinic revealed that there is no more amniotic fluid in the uterus. She said I may need to do an emergency delivery at kkh and just refer me with a letter to bring to the emergency dept there. I went to kkh and on that day itself I did the emergency c-section. Everything happened so fast and I was pretty upset then. Since the delivery, Dr Pang did not even call and asked how I am. She just kept quiet. The gynaes at kkh also wondered why the pre eclampsia was not detected and managed during the course of the pregnancy.
My child was born prematurely at 26 weeks. Due to the lack of oxygen in the brain caused by the absence of amniotic fluid, the child is at risk of cerebral palsy.Due to premature birth , his vision was also affected and he has to go for surgery to correct it. He also has to go for many intervention sessions for muscle toning and other areas. It’s mentally and physically draining.

Like some of the mummies here, I chose her because she seems pretty friendly and nice. However, when things go south, she just disappeared. Not even a word of care from her. My package with her still have many sessions left with the premature delivery but she did not even refund me. I also feel she lack the expertise to handle any pregnancy issues that might arise during the course of pregnancy.I was quite upset and angry with her behaviour. To be frank. I feel my family GP is more experienced than her. Til today, she just moved on and pretended nothing has happened.

Yes I agree. This Dr may be able to handle straightforward cases but Post operative care and treatment is generally is bad. My daughter contracted bacterial infection after laposcopic surgery for ovarian cyst removal. Post surgery she developed abdominal pain and pus oozing from her belly button. Dr Cindy Pang brushed it aside for gastric pains and only gave a two weeks dose of antibiotics. Thereafter follow ups were done without any need for treatment except for being given some antibiotic creams for 4 months for surface infection...this without any improvement. Swab test were also done improperly and showed negative for pathogens. She was recommended to a gastrointestinal doctor. That was in April 2023. The gastro Dr recommended her to another gynaecologist who did a CT scan. With that, in Sept she decided to get a second opinion. She is now still undergoing treatment with another infectious diseases Dr who has identified the bacteria causing this serious bacterial infection which if left untreated can lead to sepsis. My daughter may need another op to remove the infected part if the antibiotics don't work. Imagine the pain, discomfort, trauma and risk of serious internal infections. What was supposed to be a laposcopic surgery with quick recovery, now has dragged to 8 months . Dr Cindy Pang being an experienced gynaecologist should not have taken her post op treatment and care so lightly. There were also other anomalies which were uninformed to the patient during the surgical process and came to light later. I am writing this as a father since I feel that others can be made aware so you don't suffer the same. Doctors who do surgery should know better that a patient's belly button can carry up to 67 different bacterias which if allowed inside can infect the internal tissues etc. The need to do proper disinfecting and cleaning is required to prevent this. In this case it was not done well leading to complications.
