Hi fellow mummies!! I completed my confinement a month ago with my confinement nanny, Qing Jie. I am utterly grateful for her as she made my confinement such a pleasurable one, and especially for a first-time mum.

Breastfeeding – Qing Jie would often help me with the latching for baby. I was impatient as I had a short nipple, and baby couldn’t latch on well. But she was very encouraging, she told me not to give up and to continue trying, as practicing would eventually enable baby to latch on well. She was very thoughtful, she would use a jacket or cloth to cover my shoulders during latching as she would remind me that it is important to cover up.

Confinement Meals – Her meals are so delicious and she would always make it a point to cook a variety of food for me so I will not get sick of the food. She would even cook dessert for me and ensure that I am well-fed. Qing Jie is someone who is very humble, I often offered her my fish, but she would always decline and ask me to eat more, as she mentioned that she eats very simply and I needed the nutrition more. I love her hand-made ban mian the most!!! Attached the photos below.

Cleanliness – Qing Jie was very thorough in her food prep, she would always don an apron when prepping the meals. In terms of handling the baby, she would always have a white cloth over her body when carrying baby and she would always remind me to be strict with baby’s hygiene as baby is very precious.

Skillful, Thoughtfulness and Organized - My baby had frequent spit-outs and Qing Jie taught me how to better manage him with her techniques. My baby had jaundice, and she advised me to still feed BM on top of FM. Though people around me advised me to fully feed FM, she told me it wasn’t necessary and baby’s jaundice would eventually dip with the mix of both milks. True enough, my baby got discharged from his jaundice a week later. She takes care of him well round the clock, even for night feeds, she was always alert when feeding and burping the baby, which allowed me to fully concentrate on my recovery and also on pumping. She always sings and talks to him, calling him her baobei. I can really feel her genuine love for my baby. She’s also very organized, she would help to organize the essentials on a daily basis and she keeps track of baby’s feed and diaper change timings.

Qing Jie is someone who is very patient and has a heart of gold. She treats me well and even treats the helper at my in-laws’ place with so much love. She’s someone whom I will highly recommend, I am missing her so much already and will definitely engage her for my future second kid!

If you would like to engage Qing Jie, do voice record in Mandarin or type in Mandarin. Her contact number is +65 9391 0120. Let her know that you have been recommended by Cong Cong’s mummy! Wishing all the mummies out there an enjoyable and safe pregnancy, cheers!

Hi hi I hope you don't mind I just add onto your post haha. I gave birth in July 2024 but only found the time now to write a review for Qing Jie!!!! She did confinement for me for a month after I gave birth on 25 July 2024 and wish she could stay longer with me!!

As a first-time mom, my postpartum journey was both exciting and overwhelming... On top of navigating the challenges of recovering from c sect delivery and caring for my newborn, I live with my in-laws, which added an extra layer of pressure and anxiety due to the many well-meaning but sometimes overwhelming comments from family members.... Long story short, I cried many nights during the first 2 weeks after childbirth.

Thankfully, I was blessed to have Hor Yoke Chen (affectionately known as Qing Jie) as my confinement nanny. From the moment she arrived, her warmth and professionalism put me at ease. Her wealth of experience was evident in how confidently and skillfully she handled every situation, from soothing my fussy baby to preparing nutritious confinement meals that helped with my recovery AND HANDLING the difficult dynamics with the in laws.

What truly set Qing Jie apart was her unwavering encouragement. She was a pillar of support for me, always reassuring me that I was doing my best, even when I doubted myself. Her calm demeanor and practical advice gave me the confidence I needed as a first-time mom. Honesty, even now (baby 6 months), my mummy friends even me for advice on many matters which Qing Jie gave me advice on...

Qing Jie really handled the household dynamics with grace, ensuring that I could focus on my recovery and bonding with my baby without feeling overwhelmed. She created a peaceful and supportive environment for me, which made such a difference during this critical period.

I am deeply grateful for her care, kindness, and expertise. She not only cared for my baby and me with love but also empowered me with the knowledge and confidence to step into motherhood. I cannot recommend her enough to any new mom looking for someone who will guide them with both skill and heart!!!

Thank you, Qing Jie, for being such an incredible part of my journey! Do PM me if you have any questions about her!!
