Formula milk for expecting mums

I'm looking for formula milk for a nightly nourishment. Any recommendations? I only found Similac Mum in the market. Anyone tried it before?

 


thanks. The NTUC I went to don't have all these. I gotta go look for it in bigger supermarkets i guess. When is a good time to start taking formala milk? or is it never too late to start?

The formula for mummies are not put together with the babies formula.

they usually put it with the medicine/ supplement area.



I like Friso mum as got added fibre.

My gynae recommended ammum. it taste quite good. but the problem is its very "heaty"...i've got sour throat and fever after taking the first 2-3 glasses. does anyone has this problem?

 
I try similac mum before.

Not bad as it is not too sweet as compared to annum. however can't drink in early morning as MS makes me vomit everything..:p

I'm drinking Similac Mum.. juz wonder 1 cup of Similac Mum per day, and one folic acid pill a day... izzit too much??? becoz Similac Mum also consist of folic acid!

 
I have been drinking both Anmum and Similac and I found that Anmum taste alot sweeter than Similac

So I went back to drink Similac mum instead

I attended a forum from Anmum before that our body has a kind of destroyer to destroy our intake of folic acid.

Infact, I am consuming 5mg of folic acid, + 1 cup of milk and taking spinach too

 
i bought similac mum when i was 4 weeks preggy.

since then i only drink once or twice.......



it taste sooooooooooo horrible.......



i used to drink meiji milk everyday since young..... now i puke @ the sight of milk ever since i drink similac........lol



i hope i'll get better after first trimester

 
I'm taking Enfamama. I think it has a lower fat content than Anmum and more stuff added (e.g. DHA) than Similac Mum. The instructions say that each serving is made up of 6 spoonfuls, but I find it rich enough with just 3.5 to 4 spoonfuls. Doesn't taste quite as good as normal chilled milk though :p

 
hi mummies, i just bought similac mum. only drank like 4 scoops of it but i dont like the taste. i was wondering if anyone have other milk(chocolate preferred) to exchange with me or give away?i dont want to waste money and buy other brands then end up not drinking it just like similac. pm me thanks so much!!!

 
Meldy, they do give out free samples of milk (I know Enfamama and Anmum do...my ob/gyn stocks their samples at his clinic). Why don't you try the samples first before deciding whether or not to buy a whole tin?

I tried all 3 but find Similac Mum and Anmum too sweet. Still find Dumex Mamil Mum the best. In terms of taste and nutrition. But it's personal pref. Drank that for my 2 preggies. I have 16 small packs left as i bought the big tin. Exp May 2011. Add water and drink ANYTIME . PM me if you want to try. Can exchange for wetwipes or NTUC voucher.Can meet in town NEL or East/West Line if conv.

i bought similac milk powder for pregnancy, and just started to drink it today, find the taste ok, i can drink the normal freshmilk cos of MS, will cause indigestion for me...

I tried s26 for pregnancy and I don't find it nice. The milk powder doesn't seem to be able to dissolve totally.

Hi all, i would recommend Anmum.

I drink everyday, morning & night (helps me to sleep).



My Hb bought it for me Anmum (Chocolate flavour-taste so nice to consume), becos I somehow can't digest milk during my pregnancy in my 1st trimester.



It contains DHA, folic etc. which is beneficial for MTBs. I started taking it after stopping folic acid from my gynae after my 4th month of pregnancy,hence Anmum somehow a substitute for my folic source. =)



Try Anmum! Its good. Can get it at NTUC @ $20.20. ^_^
