Doctor recommendations for high risk pregnancy

Hello all

I recently had a miscarriage at 18+ weeks. Had spotting/ light bleeding from the start of the pregnancy, then quite significant bleeding from 14+ weeks. Admitted to KKH after suspected leaking fluids at 16+ weeks then at 18 weeks cervix began to dilate and sadly eventually lost our dear baby.

Am looking for a good gynae specializing in high risk pregnancies to ensure that I recover properly from the miscarriage and to get good care from the start when we TTC again.

Apart from the persistent bleeding, leaking amniotic fluids and probably incompetent cervix, I also have history of gestational diabetes. Perhaps I may have to go for a preventive cerclage if we conceive again.

Thanks in advance.

You can check out my gynae Dr Chris Ng if you're near Camden Med area. He was my gynae during my first pregnancy when I had preeclampsia.

Hi, sorry to hear about your loss. Please have a good recovery!
My gynae was Dr TC Chang, he was great. Never regretted going to him.

Another high risk specialist that was in my consideration was: Professor Biswas(NUH)
But I decided on Dr Chang as I don’t like the long wait time at nuh.

I got their recommendations from other mummies on the pregnancy after loss fb group.
