Can we take pi pa gao for cough relief?

Hi mummies,

Would like to ask if anyone knows whether pregnant women can take pi pa gao as cough remedy? I am 26 weeks now and having a cough and sore throat. Cant sleep at night cos of the cough.

Thanks! I went to see my family doc in the end and was prescribed cough medicine which is safe for pregnancy. In any case, I also asked the doctor if I can take pi pa gao. He said it is ok to take, so long not excessively .

It is okay to take pi pa gao during pregnancy but you can't take it in excess amount.
