Hi ladies,

I have a Bicornuate Uterus and recently conceived. Only into my 5th week now. I was told by my Ob&Gyn who only specialises in fibroid removal and cervical abnormalities that I am required to have C sect when I deliver. Anyone knows of any Gynaes that have experience with Bicornuate Uterus C sect delivery?

Hello! I have the same uterus abnormalities but i deliver naturally for my #1. I guess at the end of the day is the position of your baby is in.

Hi dear!
Oh that’s great! So your baby managed to turn head down so you could deliver naturally? May I know you delivered at full term? Cos I’m worried about potential preterm labour.

Yep, she was in the head down position. Unfortunately did not manage to bake till full term, she was delivered at week30...

She was in nicu for a week and nursery for 3 weeks. The hosp fees were still manageable as i walk in to kkh as subsidize patient.

Oic. I’m under private with TMC. Just hoping to bake as long as possible. I’m currently on daily dose of progesterone suppositories till birth. Hope that helps with preventing preterm. Where u on any medications throughout the pregnancy too?

#1 nope, water bag just burst, so by then its too late. For #2 nw, im on progesterone injection, utrogestan and nifedipine as i had early signs of labour in tri 2.

Oh congrats! How far along are you right now? I’m also taking utrogeston daily before that was just on oral duphaston. How often do you have to get your progesterone jabs for? What are the signs to look out for? I’m currently in my 2nd trimester right now.

Im at week 29 now. Im on jab once every 2 days.. i was bleeding and it just happen suddenly the day after walking slightly more than usual.. my gynae says that could be due to the bicornuate uterus that result in weak cervix and causing the cervix to open up prematurely.

For #2 manage to caught in time, but the cervix is shortening every week, so now could only hope for the best and hopefully baby bakes longer this time round.

It may or may not happen to you so best to seek ur gynae opinion on your progression. Try not to stress yourself over this issue and be positive :)

Oh I see! Take it easy too! I’ve been walking a lot lately but trying not to over stress myself too much too! I had brown spotting at week 11 as well but it went off gradually and so far everything is good. I think we all can’t help but worry and pray that baby bakes longer than usual! Thanks for replying my thread, at least I know there’s someone out there just like me.

Think usually people are not open to such abnormalities and at times i do envy those that went through pregnancy without any issues. Anyway, all the best to you!

Oh yeah I do feel that way too! Also, when did you start feeling kicks and movements? I’m envious when people say their babies are active and move a lot. Possibly due to more space in their womb. I haven’t really felt major movements yet just maybe light tapping.
