ANYONE HAS GOOD TCM TO RECOMMEND FOR CHILDREN??

I bring my daughter to see Dr Miao Meng at Raffles Hospital. So far I'm happy with the result. When she's on TCM, she's really healthy and doesn't fall ill from the usual cough and cold that the rest of her class is happily passing around. However, chinese medicine is really bitter. So you have to figure out how to get your child to take the medicine.

Hi XL mum,

I know she works on Sat morning (usually when we see her). I am not sure abt the afternoon and Sun.

Re charges, I'm sorry but I don't know. My husband is able to claim the bills under his medical benefits, so he handles the payment and I don't bother with it. You can call them to ask?

Hi Amanda,

Can I just ask, you mean raffles hospital got TCM? cos my boy ENT like got some "self cleansing" problem that's affecting his sensitive nose to cause mucus and backflow to his throat and causing him to cough forever.....seen many docs and even baby/children doctor, the med seems to work awhile only and den his body got immue for the med and won't work anymore.

So thinking of trying out TCM but dunno where to find one that sees children. If have can pass contacts? Thanks.

cheers

Hi MommyBaby

I have only brought my daughter to the TCM at Raffles Hospital. The clinic is on lvl 13. I know there are other TCM Drs in SG and one can find names of other TCM in this forum. I think I've seen other mommies post in the IVF support group thread that they bring their babies to see the TCM that help them conceive.

Which is good, I honestly have no idea. I've only been to the one at Raffles. It was recommended to me by a friend.

My daughter has bad eczema since she was 4 days old. I've tried basically every cream on the mkt, (steriod and non steriod). Put her on zyrtec on a long term basis too. Until I got tired and figured, some ppl are tall, some are short, my kid just has bad skin. That's just her!

But the grandparents kept nagging me abt her skin. So we decided to try TCM. The medicine is bitter. Getting her to drink it was another hurdle. After 6 mths, her skin is not perfect, but it's better than before and I noticed she had been pretty healthy while on it. She never missed a single swimming lesson due to illness.

Hi,

my 3 year old boy also went to Herbal Basic at Havelock road to treat his sensitive nose issue.

Last year, he frequent visit to doctor for his cough, flu, and even on ventolin (as much as 16 puff a day on bad days). He most frequent problem is backflow of mucus from nose, and cause whizzing in his lungs. For this, he could not have quality sleep, and affect him. Also, he was on so much western medication that his hands and feet are cold.

When I found good feedback on forum, I gave a try. He started with intensive treatment for 3 months, then weekly treatment, then fortnightly. These year, he is much better, and visit Herbal Basic only when there is a need.

My husband, who has sinus & ear problem, was also treated by Herbal Basic. In the past, even ENT specialist could not detect his problem, despite the costly consultation cost. Someday, his ear water level is uneven and cause him dizziness, and his nose frequent bleed with slight pressure.
So he took the package and did the treatment continuously for 3 month. Now all his problem is solve, and he could have a better quality sleep.
