Had my abnormality scan this afternoon at Thomson medical.
Report came back with baby with an extra blood vessel in heart (ARSA). It was so worrying. They engaged another doctor to examine my scan again and conformed the vessel presence. Stating it's usually marker of down syndrome. Some may be normal. I read on Google that usually 1.4% are normal. And the rest are down's. This even worry me further.
Headed down to my gynae with my report. Gynae smiled and say don't worry first. Its not very serious. (I know Dr heng can be very assuring at times) but I couldn't stop worrying and went ahead to do the blood test for down syndrome. Don't know what it call. But I know accuracy is 98% as I opt out for the amino test which requires to take some fluid from sac. Which will cause 2% risk of miscarriage.
Hoping for someone whom experience this to advice me. Im very lost now. Waiting for my report for 2 weeks is like killing me with 20 stabs.
I do read about a blogger whom had this and turned out normal. But am I that lucky too?
