Hi mummies..
I was recommended by my teacher to go for Dr Judy Wong Pui Ling at TMC. Her daughter went to her about 3 years ago.. Was wondering if any mummies had seen her recently?
How is she as a doc? Does she give advise freely or is she the chop-chop kind? 1st time pregnant so I'm abit kanchiong.. LOL!
Anyone knows how is her package like?

Thank you!! :):)

Dr Judy Wong is my OB/GYN. She saw me through my first pregnancy (just delivered on 10th Jan 2015!). She's very patient and doesn't rush you through anything at all. She will explain every procedure / test in as much detail as you need or ask of her. She does tend to be on the expensive side (every consultation - including urine test and ultrasound scan) is approximately 150 - 200 sgd. She also tends to be a little conservative - she will let you know all the statistics and risks and if you tend to be anxious, you'll be tempted to take every single test out there in the market!! Because my water bag level was low she also requested that I did full scans including Doppler to check the blood flow to the baby so that added to the cost (but my husband also agreed tot the full scans anyway). However, she delivered my baby really well, my episiotomy was good and healing well and when my uterus didn't contract, she really knew what to do immediately and who to call. Initially, throughout my pregnancy, I wasn't too sure if I wanted to go back to her if I became pregnant again but after the childbirth, I'd definitely want to see her again. She really looks after you from the start of the pregnancy all the way to the end. Hope this helps! x

Thanks ladies.. :) her charges are indeed very high.. $165 just for consultation! When I saw the bill, I almost fainted.. Lol.. But she is also very motherly so I'm contemplating whether to change to a cheaper gynae..

Hi Jaskel,

We went to Dr Judy by accident due to an emergency and found her attitude to be suitable for our needs. Just want to know if you did continue with her knowing her charges?

TIA!

Hi

I just read the reviews on Dr Judy Wong Pui Ling and find her charges reasonable. There are Doctors who charge more than her and will rush through consultations. I like Dr Judy Wong as her explanations are clear, bedside manners good. And most importantly, u feel safe going under her. I feel that she doesn’t rush you through any decision making and being in Thomson Medical Centre, I also feel very safe as it is the ONLY hospital who specialises in O&G. Other hospitals mix with other specialities. Anyway, coming back to Dr Judy Wong, I feel very comfortable with her and I have googled a lot of doctors besides her. I think she will be my go to O&G doctor

Poor experience with Dr Judy Wong

I don’t think so; this doctor is right. From the beginning of my pregnancy, my fetal position was no problem. The fetus size was a bit bigger, but after 32 weeks, she always advised me to give birth; otherwise, it would be an operation. I think that as a qualified doctor, she shouldn't ever scare the patient. Because as the due date is near, the patient already jas much stress and pressure about delivery. She shouldn't tell the patient that there is a lot of danger in natural birth, instead of encouraging pregnant women.

I was wondering how many stations would be ending their run with Judge Judy, or are they going to carry Judy Justice? Or will these stations just add an hour of news? Just curious
